Tina opened the door an apologetic look on her face as she looked at Jason’s flustered face.
“Miss you’re not supposed to be back here.” Jason said as he stood by the doorway still not seeing Bette.
“I’m sorry we just needed a moment alone.” Tina said still blocking the doorway to give Bette more time to straighten up.
“We?” Jason said as he looked passed Tina to see Bette walking towards them.
“Yes Jason we my office was occupied was there something you needed?” Bette said as she put her arm around Tina.
“I’m sorry to disturb you Ms. Porter James sent me to his office to start some paperwork for the sold paintings.”
“How are we doing out there?”
“Great Ms. Porter everyone’s having a good time and the artists’ and their paintings are a big hit…I’m really sorry for interrupting.”
“Don’t be we were just talking, actually we were already on our way out. We’ll leave you to your work. Come on T.”
Bette’s arm was still snuggly around Tina’s waist as she gently guided her out of the room kissing the side of her head as they walked down the hallway.
“I think we made Jason blush.”
Tina laughed softly leaning further into Bette’s embrace as she turned her head towards Bette for a quick kiss.
“What is it about us that makes us so…”
“Combustible?” Bette said with a wide grin on her face.
“I think that’s a great word to describe our attraction for each other…but not our relationship.” Tina said between kisses.
“No it definitely doesn’t describe our relationship…I can think of a whole string of words to describe our relationship.”
“Give me one.” Tina said happily as she recalled having an exchange like this with Bette in the very beginning of their relationship.
“How about…destined.” Bette said as she kissed her love’s sweet lips.
“Mmm it’s no wonder I’m so desperately in love with you…you have the most beautiful heart Bette Porter.”
Bette stopped them as she felt the need to look into Tina’s eyes. “It’s because of you…I didn’t know how to truly love anyone until I met you and you chose me. You gave me your love so unconditionally and without reservation. Before I met you I was fumbling around completely lost going along with my life thinking that it couldn’t get any better and I have never been happier to be proven so completely wrong…” Bette said as she leaned her head against Tina’s.

Now this is the love that I have known is in their hearts. Melvin finally got it and it is nice to see the Porter-Kennard clan coming together as one big family. Nobody will be able to go against them because there is back up now. You had started a story earlier where both Tina and Bette had older children. I hope that you will continue that story when you have completed this story. Of course I would like for this story to go on forever but I am sure that it will come to an end at some point.

Tori I love this story. You sure know how to draw me into the story with so many angles going on…from Melvin, to Ava, meeting all the new family, and all the ups and downs along with it. I loved how you had the B&T handle everything. I especially liked the conversation in the hallway that Melvin overheard – I’m so glad that it has finally sunk into his thick head/hardened heart. It will be good for Bette, Tina, Eli and the whole family. I’m glad B&T both controlled themselves with Ava at the opening. I don’t know if I could have if I were Tina, after knowing what she said to Bette I would tend to believe that Ava had planned her and Bette’s one-niter, she did throw their intimate discussion regarding lost loves up in Bette’s face after all. Excellent post T! Congrats on the internship! Try to drop us a new chapter when you get a chance! I’ll be waiting…
Toribio, That was wobderful, so full of love, kindness and respect. Bette and Tina really belong together in your universe. I love it when then talk and show their true feelings in these hidden little moments. Fantastic to see that Bette is willing to let Tina in completely and inhabit her mind, soul and body. Tina taking the lead and sorting things out with Ava was brilliant too. The she-wolf was protect her mate and cub and unfortunately for Ava, ready to do whatever it takes. Good to see Melvin admit that he was wrong and not respects his daughter and her family as his own. Awesome. More please. Many thanks for this delightful and delicious drama, Your Loyal Fan.

This was great! I loved the path you took! I’m already thinking they will name Bette’s baby CHRIS, keeping the theme from ELI’s name. And, it works for a boy or girl!
