A Leap Of Faith (Chapter 9)
Chapter 9
Previously…
“Tonya just said that she had unfinished business and some loose ends to tie up… it was all very vague and mysterious…” Harrison noticed as the expression on Dana’s face fell. “Is everything ok?”
Dana: No… it’s really not… Harrison I’ve gotta go. If you hear from Tonya again then let me know… but don’t tell her I’m looking for her, in fact, don’t tell her anything about me… I’ll speak to you later…
***
Alice pulled up outside KCRW as usual, locked her car and made her way over to the main building. Despite Dana’s reassurances, she was still feeling uneasy after the strange phone calls earlier. Alice glanced around; she felt as though she was being watched even though there was nobody nearby. Alice smiled at Caitlin, the receptionist as she made her way into the studio. Caitlin called after her, saying that Alice had a message from someone about a meeting later on. Alice stopped… she couldn’t remember organising a meeting but then she had just had an action packed few days so she reasoned that it possibly slipped her mind.
Alice: Ok, thanks for the reminder Cait… is Ruth around?
Caitlin: Yeah she’s kind of busy though, she asked me to tell you that she’ll talk after the show if that’s ok.
Alice smiled “Sure, no problem, I’m gonna go get ready now ok?”
Caitlin laughed “Yeah of course… good luck! Not that you ever need it…” Alice blushed a little at the compliment. Caitlin was sweet and always so helpful towards Alice, she couldn’t help feeling flattered by the attention.
Alice sat down at her desk and set up her microphone and headphones. “Hey everyone, this is Alice Pieszecki and you’re listening to The Chart on KCRW… Today’s topic for discussion is true love… a good friend of mine once said that the one thing that cuts across all of our boundaries is love… it’s a beautiful day and I want to hear from you so feel free to give me a call and let me hear all about your experiences.”
Dana was in the car on her way over to the station to check in with Alice; knowing that The Chart would already have started, she turned on the radio. Dana only caught the last part of the sentence inviting listeners to call in but she was glad to hear that Alice was there and that she was on air which meant that things were ok. Dana started to relax until she heard Alice introduce the first caller.

YAY ty so much for posting kissss ;) Great chap loved Tonya the nut! Alice and Dana need to put a restraining order out on her she’s just crazy! i hope Alice doesn’t continue to push Dana away. AND i really hope Tonya doesn’t ruin Dana’s tennis career or else Alice needs to go kick her lol :P as always great job and cant wait to read what’s next! x0x0x0
Awsome and intense chapter as usual! I didn’t know that Tonya could be so violent though. Poor Alice:( I just hope that Alice will stop pushing Dana away. Remember- you even said that Danish will stay strong, so I guess I’ll have to keep believing in you and hope it’ll be cleared up eventually:) Well, great job and I’ll be waiting impatiently for the next!
I didn’t see that one coming. TonTon is one evil bitch! (And that’s the way we like her.) :D I’m glad Dana could give the much needed TLC to Alice afther that incident. And Alice does need Danawith her at the police. Alice can always change her mind during the ride to the police station…
Loved the chemistry between Al and Dane…though Alice shouldn’g think do damn much. So now everytime I read Ton-Ton’s name I hear the theme song to The Exorcist in my head. lol Great update!
