Chapter 3

A few minutes after both girls’ hearts had slowed, Dana snuggled into Lara’s side, enveloping herself in the warm body that she loved so much. This girl was her soulmate, and she intended to start every morning with her just like this, together and madly in love. Lara was the one she had been looking for all her life, despite all the challenges that she had come face to face with, from her job to her family, and other roadblocks along the way.

She hadn’t ever thought much about her future as far as building a home and a family was concerned, but Dana knew just from looking at Lara that if there ever was someone that she could build a life with, create a family with, it would be her. If she couldn’t spend forever with Lara, then she was destined to be alone. Lara’s blue eyes sparkled and lit up the rest of her pale face and Dana couldn’t help but smile. This woman could be her wife. Lara would be the woman she’d love for the rest of her life.

"You are so beautiful, Lara," Dana murmured gently before sealing the words with a passionate kiss. Lara’s long, slender fingers tangled in her wavy, dark locks and their tongue tangled in the dance. Lara moaned into the kiss, and Dana’s hands were immediately glued to her slender waist. Dana was drunk off their passion, and she felt like she was floating as Lara’s hands gently ran over her shoulderblades and down the middle of her back, massaging and caressing the muscles under the tanned planes of her skin that was still damp from their combined sweat.

Lara broke the kiss and stared up into Dana’s eyes. Lara, too, felt her heart swell just from feeling Dana’s body on top of hers, warming her inside and out. This was love was meant to be, and she knew that she would never trade this feeling, this perfection for anything.

"How do you do that? How do you make me feel like this?" Lara asked in a sweet whisper as her full lips traced patterns of affection over Dana’s neck. She nuzzled the nape of Dana’s neck and felt her heartbeat quicken again from the simple motion.
