After the Mirror Shatters Ch.5: It’s About Fucking Time
“Oh well, I don’t mind. Oh no! What if people saw them at work!” Eve covered her mouth with her hand.
“Don’t worry about it.” Evan grinned and then peered down at his sister again. “Have you been eating?” He asked placing his hands on the counter, looking like a major parental unit.
“Yes.” Eve said reaching out to grab a piece of warm garlic bread shoving it in her mouth. Then proceeded to talk with her mouth full. “See, I’ve been eating!”
She smirked at her brother and then winked at James, who laughed quietly.
“Have you moved into this new place yet?” James reached into a cupboard to pull out some plates and wine goblets.
“I will be after dinner.” Eve said with her mouth still full, watching James walk over to the dining room table as he placed the plates down.
“Do you need any help with your stuff?” Evan asked dumping pasta into a serving bowl.
Eve cocked her head to the side. “Evan you know, I don’t have much stuff to move.”
“And you know that you could have stayed here with us.” Evan’s accent always snuck out when he talked fast.” You didn’t have to move into a stranger’s place.”
James walked over to Evan and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend’s waist, propping his chin onto Evan’s shoulder.
“You are always welcome to stay here, Eve.” James smiled and kissed Evan’s ear.
“Thank you really, but I just gotta have my own place. I know having a roommate isn’t exactly my own place, but it is a start.” Eve said looking up at the two men.
“All right then, tell me about this roommate.” Evan said giving up.
“Well, she comes to the Planet all the time, in fact I think she almost lives there.” Eve laughed quietly. “I think she is beautiful. She’s a hairdresser.” Eve talked happily.
Evan stopped as he poured the sauce into a bowl and glanced at his sister as she talked. James was putting silverware down. “Hey, my boss’s sister owns the Planet.”
“Really? It’s a really nice place.” Eve smiled.
“Yeah, it’s a big lesbian hang out.” James grinned. Evan shot a look at Eve.
