“Hey Baby Sis! Somebody is calling you.” Kit waved the phone in her hand.
“Lara I think I need to take that call” Bette gave Lara a sorry look then got off the water to take the call.
“Hello! Yes Maria. Did something wrong happened to Madie?” Bette’s heart was beating fast. She instructed Maria to never call her unless it’s an emergency and because Mika will never like it.
The brunette sighed in relief when she heard that Maria only called her because Madie is looking for her and the kid has been throwing some tantrums since yesterday.
“I told you not to call me when she is just looking for me. I’m sure that one of these days she will learn to forget about me when she no longer see me or hear me at all.”
Maria explained to her that Madie has been talking about Bette even on her sleep and when she is awake she would just start to cry and ask for Bette and it breaks the heart of the nanny so she decided to call the brunette.
“Okay. Please hand her the phone.” She listened as Maria explained to Madie that Bette is on the line.
“Mama?” Madie stopped crying and listened to the phone checking if Bette is really on the other end of the line.
“Baby… Yes it’s me.” Bette cried when she heard her daughter. She covered her mouth with her hand to control her cry for she doesn’t want Madie to hear her crying.
Bette’s friends where observing the brunette who is standing a few feet away from them and they could hear Bette’s side of conversation.
“Mama. I yab yoh..”
“I love you too baby. Why are you crying?”
“Madie mesh yoh”
“I miss you too baby but I told you not to cry when I’m not there. Mama will be sad if you are crying. Promise me that you will not cry when I’m not there okay?”
Madie wasn’t able to answer instead she heard her baby cry when her nanny snatched the phone from her then she heard Maria telling Madie to stop crying because her mommy had already arrived then the line was cut off.
The brunette sat on the Cantinela folding bistro chair near the pool and cried knowing that her baby is also crying in Boston. She wasn’t even able to say goodbye to her baby. How could she even think that she could just forget her daughter easily?
Tina got up from her chair and walked towards the crying brunette. She wrapped a new robe to Bette’s body and hugged the brunette.
“Tee.. I want my baby back. I want to be with her.” Bette cried on Tina’s shoulder while her other friends are looking at them. Kit nodded at Tina as the blonde guided the brunette inside the house.
“Sshhh.. Everything is gonna be alright B.” Tina said while soothing the back of Bette.
Alice and Shane were silent as they know that Bette is still scrambling with the different emotions that she is feeling right now and they hope that Tina will be able to comfort the brunette just like the way that they have comforted each other before. The two friends glanced at Lara then look at each other and shook their heads when Alice mouthed the word “Complicated.”
Lara looked at the back of the former bestfriends and cried silently as she sip her wine.

Ooh, poor Madie and Bette, i hate Mika.
I hope they will find a way to stay in each others life. Madie needs her another mom.
I feel sorry for Lara, but she knew the rules and she will not be able to win her fight for Bette.

We all know Tina will get Bette in the end but until she stops thinking that the competition is Lara she will never deserve Bette. What she needs to be competing for is making herself worthy and to stop treating Bette like her property and puppet. I’m glad to see that Lara is a woman of honesty and integrity so she is already a winner and a class above Tina in my book. Now she just needs to stop begging and move on.
scribe you’ve now given Tina a chance to be a ‘real’ friend to Bette. I hope she will truly help Bette to deal with the loss of her daughter and not use Bette’s vulnerability to seduce her. Being sexually attracted to someone and getting turned on doesn’t mean that they are a good partner. There has to be something substantial outside of the bedroom to sustain a relationship; at least a mature one.
Wow Alice is an angel, making out for a minute, nice very nice. So please bring madi to Bette and please let lara find someone els. Thx for your story.
Thanks for the shout out and the update. Also unlike one of the comments that was made, how is Lara a class above Tina when Bette had already laid down the ground rules and she is in the kitchen begging for Bette to chose her over Tina and just love her even though she knows that Bette has feelings for Tina. I liked the kiss in the pool, but now I would really love it if you have Tina be the friend to Bette she should have been four years ago and help Bette with
either getting visitation with Madie or just get sole custody from that “skank” Mika. I most times want a Tibette ending but let them earn it, no quick fix.

What she did in the kitchen was pretty pathetic, Bette said it loud and clear that she is her friend. Lara heard the conversation between Bette and Tina, and Lara know that,Tina has feeling towards Bette. and Bette just confessed that she felt towards Tina, though not dare to deal with her feelings because she scared from further pain. To beg someone to love, that’s pathetic! love can not be forced!
I liked the kiss in the pool, thanks to Alice :D
I really hope Tina will be the best friend of Bette and can prove this, if she stand by it, and help figure out something how Bette to see her daughter.

Its sad that Madie wants Bette in her life and Bette wants Madie because to her that is her daughter, but what are you to do when technically you have no rights..#so sad
