    Angel and difficult conversations….

    Stacy had dark, blonde hair, and full pink lips that tasted so good. Some people thought her eyes were dark gray or green, but they were blue. Blue with gold streaks. Angelica knew this because she had been so close to Stacy so often and had looked into her eyes so deeply that she could have painted their complicated colors from memory.

    They sighed and thought about how much they ached for each other.

    “Hi, gals!”

    Angel and Stacy both jumped and separated from each other as they saw Shane, Carmen and their children come out to the pool.

    Carmen herded the two children and got them in to the shallow end of the pool.

    “You don’t need to move apart because of us,” Shane said as she sat down near the two young women.

    “Did one of my moms tell you about us?” Angel asked, a little annoyed.

    Shane had been looking at her children, but now turned her head back toward the teens.

    “Of course not. I’ve seen it for some time. You two young ladies are in love.”

    Stacy and Angie looked at each other in surprise and some consternation.

    “Is it that obvious?”

    “Well,” smiled Shane, “people would probably know if they had just seen you on that lounge chair.”

    “But you knew before this?”

    “Yeah. I’ve seen the way you look at each other.” Shane explained. “I’ve noticed your special body language for months. But most people? Nah, they wouldn’t pick up on it.”

    Angel and Stacy both smiled in relief. Stacy excused herself and joined Carmen and the children.

    “She’s a beautiful girl. You’re very lucky.”

    Angel smiled happily at the compliment, but then her face grew serious.

    “Uh, Aunt Shane.”

    Shane heard the concern in her niece’s voice and turned her attention again to her.

    “We haven’t…uh…well, you know.”

    Shane looked at Angelica sympathetically, trying to gauge the exact tone she should use for her comment. She nodded her head.

    “So, you’re saying that you, uh, haven’t slept together without pajamas?”

    Angie was so startled at the comment that she was momentarily silent. Then she started chuckling. And then laughing. And finally laughing so hard that she had to wipe the tears from her face.

    Shane had used just the right tone of understanding and humor that helped Angie relax about her worries concerning sex. It wasn’t that Shane was minimizing the situation, it was just a reminder that perhaps Angie shouldn’t take herself quite so seriously.

    2. Poor Bette took the “no painting classes” thing pretty well, all things considered. It had to hurt. And the teens seem to be equal parts horny and nervous. That’s got to hurt, too.

    6. This is such a cute, funny and yet at the same time a heart warming story of a close family and extended family. Bette and Tina still share that one of a kind love. Hopefully Angelica will get that same chance. Got to love Shane and all her wisdom. Funny comment about sleeping without the PJ’s. Post soon, please.

    7. Great chapter and just love how Shane interacts with the kids. Poor Tina, I would have had a stroke to have to answer a question like that, and never would have thought of what she did to answer her daughter. Glad that everyone is basically happy and in love and the family having such loving moments.

    14. pancha, I am a fan, I am, but this story just kind of creeps me..I just don’t think it’s appropriate for a parent to be instructing her child on sexual technique. It also seems that if Angel and Stacy are uncomfortable talking about sex with each other, they aren’t ready to have it.They are young, it’s ok if they take their time!!!

    15. This is just too cute. Tina and Bette are doing there best under the circumstances. Its hard watching them grow up. You’d have thought Bette would have explained things, but Tina has always been the more rational one, and able to approach things from a different angle. Then theirs always Aunty Shane. Great story, and I can’t wait for more. I know eventually you’ll get to they’re first time, and it will be as caring and as sweet as it should be.

    18. Now Tina sounds like my mom.. But I don’t know why she doesn’t want Angel to grow up, but I know that my mom thinks the more I grow up the older she becomes.. :P This story is refreshing.. Thank you.

    19. If I was alone right now I’d crack up laughing at the sleeping without pajamas thing. Apparently Angie still doesn’t realize how tuned into things Shane is or she wouldn’t have been shocked that Shane knew about her and Stacy’s relationship. Glad you enjoyed your R&R. =)
