    Angelica & The Artist 2 – Chap 1

    Chapter 1

The opening of Lyndsay Adam’s very first gallery show had been a huge success, however no one could have predicted the enormous response that would occur following that night.  Sure, both Angelica and Bette had predicted that it would be successful, but even they had been taken by surprise with the unbelievable response.  The reviews in the paper the following day had gushed about this new American talent, the likes not seen in decades.  It had all been a little overwhelming, but Angelica had been right by her side through it all.   Their budding relationship continued to strengthen, and everyone around them marveled at how much like Angie’s Mom’s they were.  The love between them was evident to all who came in contact with them.

Shortly after the show, Lyndsay had gone back to North Carolina and resumed her position as a designer.  Following a Valentine’s weekend together in upstate New York, Angie had asked Lyndsay to move in with her.  So, shortly after Lyndsay returned to North Carolina, she resigned her position, and relocated to New York City to be closer to Angelica.  The company had however requested that she stay on with them on a contract basis to look after specific clients with which she was familiar.  This could be done from New York and allowed Lyndsay to continue to pursue her love of design while also finding time to establish her new career as an artist.

The Captain’s voice came over the loud speaker “Flight attendants prepare doors for take off”.

The young woman took a deep breath, placed her carryon bag under the seat in front of her then leaned back in her seat.  Turning to look out the window she watched as the plane began to taxi away from the terminal.  She was on her way to take the last step in fulfilling what she truly believed was her destiny.  So much had happened in the last year.  So many changes had occurred in her life, most for the better.  A new career, albeit an unexpected one, had taken off like gang busters.  A move to a new city to help this new found career take off….and now…..well…now she was hopefully about to fulfill her destiny.

    2. YES!!!!! I wasn’t sure how long that “inspiration” to write would take, but I did all I could to have patience. Okay, maybe some of my emails in the past weren’t really THAT patient, but still! LOL. Why must you have cliffhangers? Can we simply agree thata term of condition in your posting will be NO cliffies? Hee Hee. Love it Taz, and for the record…today’s color is …. well, I guess you’ll just have to guess my friend. A pleasure to see you back. xo

    6. So good to have this story back, you and it has been missed. Lyndsay wasn’t the only one stalling and yes, it is cruel of you to stop just at that point. Even though you enjoy teasing us right to the brink. Thanks for posting. PPS

    7. Tazgolf74, I am new to your writings but I went back to your stories and I am all caught up with them. I am normally a B&T reader and other then Ness’ “save me from myself”, I don’t read anything else. I started to read your latest story and I had to go and get acquainted with your prequels. I started with TRE, and I was hooked. I love writers who can make me cry, that means that I totally get engrossed in the storytelling. I am glad that you have returned, but I agree with my fellow readers that that cliffhanger was just DOWN RIGHT CRUEL. PPS
