Angie looked back over at Lyndsay and said one simple word “amazing”.
“I’m glad you approve.”
“I mean it Lynds….you are very talented, and these are incredible.”
“Good enough to do a show?”
This took Angie by surprise. “A show? Are you re-considering showing your work? I thought you didn’t want to do that?”
“I didn’t…….but I’ve been thinking about it a lot and you know that I trust your judgement……so……I am considering the possibility.”
Angelica was happy to learn that Lyndsay’s talent may be seen by many if she did in fact do a showing of her work. “OK…..I can recommend some good people for you to contact about doing a show….”
This surprised Lyndsay. “No thanks….….if I do this, I want you to be the curator. I don’t want to work with anyone else.”
Angelica was a little uncomfortable and it showed in her voice. “Lynds, I don’t know……”
Lyndsay was a little confused by the reluctance being shown by Angelica. “But I thought that you wanted to show my work……you said it was good enough to show.”
“It is good enough……it’s more than good enough……..it is amazing……”
“But not good enough for your gallery.” Lyndsay stated with a hint of hurt in her voice.
Angie knew she needed to explain what she was thinking so that Lyndsay understood. “Baby it isn’t that I don’t want to show your work. My God….as a gallery owner this is an opportunity of a lifetime. To have the chance to showcase a new undiscovered artist with talent like yours…….that only comes around maybe once or twice in a lifetime.”
“Then I’m confused….why don’t you want to show it then?”
“Because I want to protect you and your work.”
“I don’t understand.”
“Lynds……I don’t want you to think that I am in any way taking advantage of you or using you to get this show. I love you and first and of foremost importance to me is you and your happiness.”
“I know that.”
“Do you? Do you really understand what you mean to me?”
“Yes….I do……because I am sure that it is the same as what you mean to me. I love you Ang, and more and more when I think about what I want and where I am going, I see my future and it is with you.”

ROFLMAOOO!!! “Where is my room?” Hmmm Angie, I wonder just where that room might be? You better hope that Lyndsay still has some old bunk bed in that ONE room your likely going to be sleeping in, otherwise…..be prepared for some body heat! Tazzie, thanks SO much for posting. I wasn’t sure when an update was coming based on our emails. This was fabulously written, and demands FURTHER writing..SOON! Though, I’ll “maybe” let it slide if that other treat might come to life real soon. Take care my friend, and once again…BRILLIANT! {{hugs}}

Hey Taz, glad to see you back and posting. So Angie has finally arrived and Lyndsay’s Mom seems to be accepting her well…that should put Angie at ease. I was surprised that Angie didn’t tink of Bette doing Lyndsay’s show and having her negotiate with Lyndsay’s agent. Bette would be in her glory to do this. Great update Taz…I hope we get another soon.
This is well worth the wait. I am gld to see that Lynds wants to do a show. I think Bette could have been a choice for curator. Angie’s last comment was funny. “Where’s my room”.PPS.
So great to see a chapter again of this story, missed it. Thanks for posting this chapter. It’s good that Lynds wants her work shown now and why in the world did Angie not suggest that Bette come to NY and hand this show as well as consult her mother for the name of the best agent. Bette does know them all and she would know the best one to represent Lyndsay. Angie should call her mother and ask her to hang the show since Angie’s emotions would be involved. Bette is after all the “best in the business.” Bette isn’t old enough to retire yet, so she should probably be the one to hang the show. This would be a grand “opening” for a new artist and one that is so very talented. Bette would work wonders with the show. Maybe I’m not giving you a chance to write your story. Sorry, I just thought immediately that it would be best for Bette to do the show. I guess I’m getting ahead of myself. Great chapter. PPS

It shows how smitten Angie is by Lindsay and it proves that Linds is ready to be introduced into the Art world. Oh, we can show Angie that “her room” will always be shared with Lynds.
