    “As much as I want this, we can’t do it.” -Tina

    “You two are so cute—,” Alice grinned. Shane shook her head and took another drink from her beer.

    “Well ladies—I’m getting a little restless here. I’m going to head off to bed soon.” Bette got up from the couch.

    “We’ll help clean up before we go.” Shane got up and began to pick up. Alice sat her bottle down and began to grab the used napkins. Tina and Bette grabbed the glasses and walked towards the kitchen. “Al—you can stay at the house.”

    “Thanks Shane.” Bette sat the glasses in the sink, and Tina put the bottle of wine away.

    “You stay the night if you want. Let you get some rest, and I’ll take care of Angelica if she wakes up.” Bette looked at her. “If you like, you can sleep in my bed, and I’ll take the couch.”

    “I’ll stay, but I’ll take the couch. You can sleep in your bed tonight.”

    “I insist—it’s not a probably with me sleeping on the couch.”

    “Bette—it’s okay.”

    “How about you two just sleep in the bed together and stop arguing.” Alice walked into the kitchen with Shane behind her.

    “We can do that—I mean it’s your bed.

    “I don’t have a problem with you sleeping in my bed with me.”

    “All right you two enough of the bickering.” Shane threw away the pizza boxes, and Bette and Tina smiled. “Okay—we’re heading back to my place. So we’ll see you ladies later.”

    “Thanks for stopping by and hanging out. We should do this again, but with everybody.” Bette nodded. They gave each other hugs and kisses on the cheek. “Good night.”

    “Night,” Shane and Alice walked to the door and walked out. Bette walked over to the door and locked it. She scratched her shoulder, and Tina grabbed Angelica’s bag. They walked to Bette’s bedroom, and Tina closed the door. Bette slowly picked up Angelica from the middle of the bed and put her in her arms. She placed her in her crib in the bedroom, and Tina sat the bag down.

    “I didn’t bring anything to sleep in.” Tina smiled softly. Bette walked over to her dresser and opened the drawer. She handed Tina a tank and a pair of pajama pants. “Thanks.”

    9. tina’s boss is a dick. i think he’s suffering from PMS. he seems to threaten to fire her quite a lot. i wonder what would he do if she said fine i quit. he seems like the type who would make her getting a new job as difficult as possible.
