“Beat of my heart” chpt. 3

“I can’t tell ya. She made me promise.”

She backs away from me. I follow her over to the door. She tries to open it and I push it close.

    “I’m listening…”

I leaned up against the door.

“She said she likes you too…”She smiles and bites down on her lip.

    “That’s it?”

    “That’s it…”

She waits patiently for me to open the door. I smiled and opened it for her. She shook her head and left the room. I collapsed against the door. My breathing was beginning to become a problem again. I had a tendency to get overly excited. I relaxed and prepared myself for the poker game.

    That night…

I went downstairs a couple of hours later. Alice screamed from below, that they were ready. I walked in to the kitchen and Shane was in there with a friend of hers. I stopped by Shane’s chair.

“Oh. Hey Lisa. Meet my friend, Tina.” Shane introduces us.

“Hello…” I extend my hand. Lisa shakes it.

    “The pleasure’s all mine.”

She smiled and I made my way over to my favorite chair. I was sitting and waiting for Bette. I wondered where was she and what was she doing?

“That perfume smells wonderful…” Lisa commented to me.

    “Thanks…”

I looked away shyly, asthough I was happy to receive the compliment. I hope Bette thought the same about it. Hmm. I chuckled to myself. I was anxious with watching the time. I was driving myself crazy. I was really missing this woman. Damn, I couldn’t control my body. Everything was jittery, especially when I thought or talked about her.

“Hey folks…” Alice entered the kitchen with the poker chips. Bette followed her carrying the rest of the items. She gazed over at me. My heart smiled. I relaxed in my chair staring absent-mindedly at her. She stared back at me. She broke the contact, as she placed Alice’s items on the table.

    “Hey…”

I uttered. I needed to say something to her. I was finding it hard to concentrate, yet stay still. I was squirming in my seat for sure. Dana entered the kitchen. She gave me two thumbs up and walks past the brunette. I chuckled and shook my head.

“Hey Dana. Can you pass me a beer, please?”

    2. Ok what the hell is wrong with Alice now and why can she just leave this 2 alone for a mement to let them talk and get to know each other. Ok post soon please, thanks!

    3. Alice is probably into Tina if she’s always throwing Eric’s name in Tina’s face anytime Tina tries to get in a new relationship.

    4. Leave it to Alice to always butt in, gosh she is so annoying at times, but I think Bette and Tina needs to stop playing games and go after what they want from each other. It’s about to get hott in here lol
