    The morning after.

    Chapter 11

    Thursday morning.

    Bette woke to an empty bed and wondered for a moment if the previous night had been a dream.

    “Morning” Tina murmured softly as she rose from her perch on the seat by the window and walked towards the bed.

    “Hi… have you been up for long?” Bette asked sleepily, pulling the sheets over her naked body as she noticed that Tina was dressed in her PJ’s.

    “About 15 minutes” Tina gingerly sat on the edge of the bed taking Bette’s hand into hers. The brunette sat in silence for a moment, allowing the cobwebs of sleep to clear from her head before she spoke.

    “Are you… ok?”

    “Tired, but yes, I’m good” Tina smiled softly.

    “Was last night…?”

    “Bette… last night was amazing… I am only sorry that we fell asleep before I could return the favour…” Tina blushed. Emotionally and physically exhausted, they had both fallen asleep at around 3am, after Bette had made love to Tina.

    “Can I… make it up to you tonight?” Tina leaned in as she spoke, placing a soft kiss on the brunette’s lips before allowing her to respond. As she pulled back, the grin spreading across Bette’s face was all the answer she needed.

    “Can I make a reservation for dinner?” Bette started to think of places she could take the blonde.

    “I would love to do that… but not tonight. Tonight, I want you to myself… and we should probably talk too.” Tina lifted the sheet as she spoke, sliding in beside Bette, claiming her lips in a deeper kiss.

    “Well… that’s one way to talk” Bette laughed.

    “Sorry, I’ve been waiting to do that since I woke up…”

    “You should have woken me up… Can I ask why you’re dressed?” Bette slid her hand under Tina’s top, running her fingers softly over the blonde’s stomach.

    “I need to go back to Shane’s to get ready, but I didn’t want to leave without saying goodbye… we better get up or we’ll be late for breakfast.”

    “Or we would skip breakfast” Bette began to nibble on Tina’s ear, her hands sliding further up Tina’s body.

    “Bette…” Tina closed her eyes and tried to keep her thoughts lucid.

    “Hmmm?”

    “I’m going to go to Shane’s and shower ok? I’ll meet you at the Planet?” Tina reluctantly pulled out of the embrace and got out of the bed.

    6. Yeah! I’m dancing a happy jig that you brought your wonderful writing and the story back for us to enjoy! I have been missing it fiercely… I think Tina just needs to move in with Bette – who are they kidding? They cannot keep their hands off each other (thank goodness!) and Tina will basically be at Bette’s every night after work (not to mention every weekend). Really – what’s the point of renting an apartment or moving in with Shane… :>) Can you tell I love the story? PPVS!!!

    10. Well, they are done talking with their voices for the evening but not their bodies. Not sure that they can slow down their relationship too much. But what I do know is that they belong together.
