    The morning after.

    “You’ll meet me there?” Bette watched Tina retreat and raised her eyebrows.

    “Yeah… I… I’m not ready to tell the gang yet, if that’s ok… it’s all so new and…”

    “No, of course, I get it… ok, I’ll meet you there.” Bette grabbed her robe as she rose from the bed, wrapping the material tightly around her body.

    “Please don’t be upset.”

    Bette closed her eyes, took a deep breath and ran a hand through her hair before she turned to face Tina, gently pulling her into a hug.

    “I’m not upset, I understand… I’ll try not to give anything away but Shane’s pretty perceptive…”

    “I know, but she’s also discreet… I just don’t think I can handle Alice right now, I need to let it all sink in a little more, is that ok?”

    “Not telling Alice? I couldn’t agree with you more. We’ll figure it out… but right now, we should get ready if you don’t want to raise any suspicions.”

    The two shared a soft kiss before Bette walked Tina out and watched as she disappeared between the plants. The last few weeks had been such a rollercoaster for both of them for many varying reasons, but the last 24 hours had only intensified their emotions and seemed to have done so at warp speed. Bette had to agree with Tina; adding their friends’ questions and thoughts into the mix would only complicate things further.

    Bette pulled her bike into the spot behind Tina’s empty car, hoping she’s be able to get a few minutes with the blonde when they left the Planet after breakfast. She dismounted and removed her helmet, steeling herself before walking inside.

    “Hey Bette”

    “Hey Al, I wasn’t sure if we would see you for breakfast, you had a big one last night” the easiest way to avoid teasing and questions with Alice was to make sure the conversation revolved around the journalist in the first place.

    “I know, I liked being pampered, I need to attend more club openings for LA magazine… that is a sweet deal.”

    “Did they keep you in cocktails all night? Are you going to give them a good review?” Tina joined in the questioning, smiling as she realised Bette’s intentions.

    6. Yeah! I’m dancing a happy jig that you brought your wonderful writing and the story back for us to enjoy! I have been missing it fiercely… I think Tina just needs to move in with Bette – who are they kidding? They cannot keep their hands off each other (thank goodness!) and Tina will basically be at Bette’s every night after work (not to mention every weekend). Really – what’s the point of renting an apartment or moving in with Shane… :>) Can you tell I love the story? PPVS!!!

    10. Well, they are done talking with their voices for the evening but not their bodies. Not sure that they can slow down their relationship too much. But what I do know is that they belong together.
