The crying turned into sobbing and then she realized that she was in unbearable pain. Some of the machines started sounding off in her room and two nurses burst in to check them out. Her blood pressure was really high and restlessness was not helping her pins stay set in place. Bette was screaming and crying; she felt completely trapped. The one nurse said call Tina Kennard on her cell phone, she left it at the nurse’s station.
The nurse said “Bette, I want to give you some pain medication and sedative so you can calm down”.
Bette screamed “I don’t want it. I want to get the fuck out of here”.
The nurse called for sedation and pain medication and then asked her friend “Did you get Tina on the phone?”
The other nurse answered “Yes, she was in the lobby with her friends, she is coming right up”.
Bette was thrashing and yelling nonsense in between crying. A third nurse brought in a couple of syringes as Tina came running through the door. Two nurses were holding Bette down and in place, while the third one pushed the medications through the IV line.
Bette saw Tina and screamed “Tina”.
Tina ran right over to Bette’s bed he was still thrashing about yelling about getting out of the bed and out of the hospital and not wanting to be there. Tina stood beside one of the nurses holding Bette down and said “May I?”
The nurse nodded and they changed places. Tina put her hands on Bette to hold her down and then leaned up near her head and said “Bette. Shhhhhh. Bette, calm down. Baby, you need to calm down, you are making yourself worse. Bette can you calm down and try to talk through this with me?”
Bette started to jerk around less and through stuttered words said “I want to go home. I don’t want be here. Are you going to leave me. I can’t do this. I can’t do this”.
Tina smoothed the top of Bette’s hair and said “You can do this baby. I am not going anywhere, we will do this together ok? One day at a time. I know you want to go home sweetheart. This is so hard, but I am here. Our friends are here downstairs, they want to see you. Bette, you have to calm down. Lay back. Let me massage your head ok? Can you try to relax and we can talk about this some more?”
Tina kept rhythmically petting Bette’s head and keep a tight squeeze on her hand. After several minutes Bette seemed to be breathing more normal and calming down. The nurses explained what medications they pushed through the IV.
Tina said “We are better right Bette? We are going to be ok.”
Bette was starting to get visibly sleepy an was beginning to flutter her eyes. She began to get a disoriented look about her.
Tina said “Bette baby. Close your eyes and go to sleep. You need to rest”.
Bette half asleep said “Tina I can’t close my eyes. I am afraid you will leave. I need you”.
Tina stroked Bette’s cheek and said “You are so hard headed Bette Porter. I am not going anywhere. Sleep baby and I will be right here when you wake up”
“Promise?” Bette said.
Tina said “You bet”.

God! I found myself screaming at the screen “Tina, where are you?” ;) I was afraid Jodi has done something stupid..phew! Glad it wasn’t so! Great enotions, very realistic! Keep up the good work. Btw, what does your user name mean?

Bette needs to leave an order with her doctor to restrict Jodie from visiting her. Jodie’s already done enough damage!
i know this is a TiBette story but..I feel so sory for Jodi.Its heartbreaking that all Bette can say is that she needs Tina end of story.I would hate to be Jodi right now.Ok i bet that people are thinking that its all about TiBette but sometimes its the people you hurt that come back to haunt you….just think of that one.
I can see how Jodie would feel right now. I’m glad you allowed Bette to acknowledge how terribly she handled the whole thing with Jodie. She needed to be upfront and honest with her. I don’t think Jodie will shrink away, so Bette needs to restrict her visitation. It was very realistic to see Bette’s emotions all over the place after Jodie left the room. Tina has a very calming effect on her. I can’t wait to see in the next chapter Bette’s waking up to Tina by her side and the talk I’m sure they will have. Please post soon!

For all the alpha female that Bette is in her job, she is an absolute marshmallow in her personal life and Jodie uses it against her all the time. Jodie manipulates Bette to unimaginable depths because of her fears and doubts. Jodie should be kicked in the butt for what she is doing to Bette and Tina. You can not be i love with someone and treat them like that and enjoy the feeling as Jodie has. She was smiling the last time she left Bette after telling her that Tina would leave hwe. Jodie cares for no one but herself. Hopefully Jodi will not come back but I actually think she will try to get to Bette again. They mudt put s dtop to her visiting and ban her from the hospital. You are doing a great job with this story. PPS
It’s a very scary, confusing time for Bette…sustaining all those injuries and the recovery period following has your emotions and thoughts all over the place….I know with T’s love and support that she’ll make it through just fine!! Great update, glad Jodi finally got the message…PPS :)
Poor Bette, she is soo insecured and I can enderstand that. Tina is dong and sayng the right things to calmher. Jodie just must disapear of their life and they would be dealing with the Bette illness. Love the story so emotional, thank you. PPVS
hopefuly jodie takes the hint.. and bete has to trust tina… and i think she will when she wakes up and finds that tina is sleeping right next to her.. great chapter.. i hope jodie doesn’t ry any thing on tina.. but shane is there and she will protect tina… PPS

What an emotional chapter. Poor Bette, she certainly does have a long road ahead, she’s just lucky to have Tina at her side. I hope Jodie gets the message, but knowing Jodie it’s not going to be that simple.

Man, jodi did a head job on Bette. Tina is there for the long haul and jodi could never do what Tina can do for Bette. Tina and Bette are family and will always be a family.
If Tina continue to let Jodie come around ,she is doing Bette more harm than good. If Jodie is stupid enough to tackle Tina sge shpuld get the a%% whipping of her life. Shae will cover Tinas and Bette back, they will need it for Hodie is a back stabber. Love how Tina can calm Bette down with just her loving hands on her. thanks
