Bette said “Did you like sleeping with Henry? I mean I was your first female relationship and when you went back to men did you like more? And now that you have experienced both recently, do you miss having sex with men? Am I going to measure up?”
Tina scooted her chair closer and put both her hands in both of Bette’s hands and said “Baby, you more then measure up. I am so sorry for everything with Henry. I don’t miss men. I don’t know what I was doing or thinking. It isn’t that great. Sex with men is so emotionally unconnected. I missed that connection that I always have and feel with you. I am not bisexual Bette, I am a lesbian. And I only want to be with you. You might be the first woman I slept with, but I have slept with others and no one compares to you.”
Bette said “I can’t stand the thought of you being with Henry or anyone else in that way Tina.”
Tina said “I know, I understand because I feel the same way too”.
The nurse came into the room and interrupted the intimate talk to take Bette’s vitals and administer some medications. The nurse asked if Bette would like a sleeping medication and Bette turned to Tina to take direction.
Bette said “T I don’t want to konk out on you, but I will if I take the sleeping medication”
Tina said “Bette if you need it, you should take it. Are you going to have a hard time falling asleep tonight?”
Bette said “I don’t think so. I think I am going to pass and I will buzz you if I find I need it. The pain medication already makes me kind of sleepy and I have had a big day, leaving the hospital for a bit and all that I think I am pretty tired out on my own.”
The nurse stayed for a few more minutes and asked Tina if she wanted any help getting Bette ready for bed or anything else. Tina said she had it all under control and would be staying the night with Bette in the room. The nurse left and promised not to bother them until morning check in.

I’m happy that Bette didn’t let the Jodi thing distract her from her wanting to be close to Tina. And it was thoughtful of Tina, giving Bette space. Continue with the story, I love it.

B&T showing their love for each other so thoughtfully and tenderly is the best part of their relationship. The Jody fling was all negatives and turmoil as far as I’m concerned.
