Centre of my Universe, Part 22

She looked like the cat that ate the canary and Bette bellowed. “Oh, Lena, that’s really divine.“

“You’re not mad at me ?” Helena asked quietly.

“Why should I ? Because you kept it a secret ?”

“A secret it’s putting it mildly, Bette. I was going to tell you about it tonight, I swear. But there wasn’t a plausible moment today to blurt it out sooner.” Helena fished for Bette’s understanding.

“I believe you, Love. Now let’s go in and you can tell me more… if you’re willing.”

“You can bet your nice ass on that, Darling.”

Helena grabbed their overnight bag and Bette took Blue’s carrier.

“Hmmm, he is awfully quiet all of a sudden, don’t you think, Love ?”

Blue was watching his surroundings with bright blue eyes and absorbed his whereabouts like a sponge.

“I think he is just curious. This little feller went around the city a lot today.” Helena said.

They got to the reception and Bette put the carrier on it. He looked at the receptionist while Bette asked if it would be a problem if he stayed with them.

The woman working there smiled at Bette and Helena and then held her hand near Blue’s nose. He wasn’t impressed by her, so he just mewed at Bette.

“Behave yourself, Mr. Porter.” She told him lovingly.

The receptionist laughed. “It’s no problem for him to stay. We often have guests with pets. Do you need something for him ?”

She had seen them enter with just the little bag and wondered about that. But as Alice had pointed out to the lovers earlier, the hotel could provide with equipment for him.

“I’ll send the necessary things up soon. No worries, Mrs. and Mrs. Porter. Enjoy your stay !” She smiled at both of them.

Bette grasped Helena’s hand and each woman took their respective cargo up to the room.

After arriving there, Bette let Blue out and he sat down to look around. Everything was interesting for him to explore and he couldn’t decide which way to go first. He looked up at his humans and voiced his opinion on the matter.

    1. I don’t know where you find the time to write, but I for one am glad you do. Great story and I can’t wait for your next post. And no you do not suck at NC17. I find them to be perfect.

    2. Sky..what goes on in the kitchen should stay in the kitchen babe!!! When I see you in that apron, oh my…um, the story! Yes, thanx Kijuma, loving it! Sky, you don’t have to wait til next story, did you forget your Valentine’s Day gift???

    3. This is just great. I was almost laughing out loud when I read: “when honesty has to be stretched a little… for example birthday presents”. This is so Bette. I can imagine very well speaking those words. Thanks.

    4. Kijuma I thought baking was a type of foreplay for everyone…at least that was what Susannah told me as she had her way with me over some freshly baked biscuits…lol. She said “come on Sky everybody’s doing it.” Thanks for posting Kijuma and I will look for a puppy on your next story.
