Chapter 25 – The Designer and One more Talk with Angie

Jim:  This is going to be a nice set-up for you. And I thank you in advance for the opportunity to bid on this.

Tina:  The house should take the priority. The studio should be secondary. But I would like to get my work life settled and get started painting as soon as I can.

Jim:  We will do all we can for you Tina. I think that we can have everything but the possibly the Murphy bed by September 15th.  And I have no idea about that just yet.

Bette:  So, let’s go see that contract and then we need to get out of your way.  Or perhaps you would like to join us for lunch?

Jim:  No, my wife is bringing us lunch and going to help me with the paint ordering this morning. We need to do the calculations on the number of gallons on each color and we should have the order in this afternoon. It will be delivered to the house early on Thursday. They can do some drapery removal and wall spackling and light fixture removals until the paint arrives. They will also need to put down some drop clothes over the wood floors. So, I doubt the first paint will go up before Friday. But the crew wants to work the entire weekend so they can have two days off for Labor Day. The outside crew will not start before Monday. A complete pressure was first. Oh, and is the water and electricity on? That needs to happen for us to work.

Bette:  I’ll make sure that happens. I’ll call our real-estate agent and see if we can do that this afternoon or tomorrow. Anything else?

Jim:  I think I have all I need. The patio furniture selection you made today. I just need to get an estimate. You need to make a mattress selection and give me the sizes of the beds for each mattress. I will email to you an address to go for your selection process. I will let the store manager assist you. There is no need for me to be there is there?

Tina:  No, I don’t think so.

Jim:  The store manager will notify me what you have selected and I will place the order and arrange for delivery. Either me or one of my staff will be there to supervise delivery and installation. I believe I can get that delivered on Saturday, September 14th. Do we need to make the beds?
