Mark: Shane, turn more to the left, please…yeah right…okay stay like that. Perfect. I think that’s it. I have enough pictures.

Bette: Great. Thank you, guys. You did a great job.

Shane: Well…It wasn’t that bad plus it pays the bills, so I can’t really complain.

Mark: So, that means you’re paying for a round tonight?

Mark grinned at Shane and Bette who laughed.

Shane: Well, I guess I can do that for you guys.

Mark, Bette and Shane went to the much talked about club Soho, where celebrities were not seldom. They were joined by Tina Kennard, Bette’s long-term girlfriend.

Bette and Tina were enjoying each other’s company on the dancefloor and were joined shortly afterwards by Mark who obviously found a replacement for Carmen. He was flirting with a girl named Mila.

Shane was sitting in on a couch with a drink in her hand when she was joined by a girl with darkblonde hair and green eyes.

Girl: Hi… Can I sit here?

Shane: Yeah, of course. Have a seat.

Girl: Thank you. Are you waiting for somebody?

Shane: Uh…no…I’m here with some friends, but at the moment they are busy.

She looked over the dancefloor and watched her friends dance and smile. The girl followed her gaze.

Girl: You should join them.

Shane: On the dancefloor? Nah…I’m alright here.

Shane smiled at the girl sexily. They started a conversation, but most of the time the girl was talking and Shane was listening. Bette and Tina who noticed Shane’s new company where used to those kind of scenes. Shane was always the one who listened to everybody. She listened carefully and then gave honest answers if it was necessary. This was only one of the qualities Bette appreciated about Shane.

Bette and Tina got to the bar to get a drink while Tina looked at the scenario on the sofa ones in a while. The girl was obvisouly flirting with Shane. While she was talking she kept touching Shane’s knee getting closer and closer.

Bette: I give them 10 more minutes.

Tina: I bet they are gone in 5.

They both looked at their watches. Only half a minute later the girl stood up holding Shane’s hand and leading her out of the club. Bette and Tina looked at each other and shook their heads laughing.

Carmen and Alice were in their apartment watching Carmen’s favorite movie “Romeo and Juliet”. She probably watched it the 5^th time, but still enjoyed it everytime she did.

Carmen: Do you believe in love at first sight?

Alice: To be honest…no!

Carmen: Why not? It exists in “Romeo and Juliet”.

Alice: Carmen, it’s a movie based on Shakespeare’s genious idea. I mean, in the film everything is perfect for them…well except for the fact that Romeo kills Juliet’s cousin and then in the end they die…but still. I just don’t believe that people know that the person they are seeing for the first time is THE person.

Carmen: But… I do know some people fell in love with a person when they first laid eyes on them.

Alice: Really? Who?

Carmen: … Ross…

Alice: Ross who?

Carmen: Gellar.

Alice: Ross Gellar from Friends?

Carmen: Okay I’ve only seen it on tivo for now, but I’m still convinced that love at first sight exisits. I mean why would people like Mary J. Blidge sing songs about it if it didn’t exist?

Alice: Well, tell me when it happens to you. I’m going to sleep, we have a meeting tomorrow and I still haven’t finished writing the article.

Carmen: Alright. But you will see that I’m right! Nite, nite.

Alice: Good night, Carmen.

In her bed Carmen kept turning from side to side, not being able to sleep. Although she tried to avoid it she kept thinking about Shane. Her beautiful eyes and the way she smiled. A perfect reason to believe in love at first sight…
