Collision Course 4.66
“Hey, hey, come on, help me push this thing…,” said Jo, tears streaming down her face, but Jo didn’t know why. Her brain had processed that Sam wasn’t going to come out of this alive, but her heart still held that glimmer of hope.
Sam reached up with her right hand, clumsily grabbing Jo’s hand, squeezing it, “It’s useless, save yourself, Jo.”
“No, no it’s not!” said Jo desperately. “I can’t leave you here Sam, I can’t… you know I can’t…” Jo grabbed at the door again, her bloody palms slipping, crashing to her knees next to Sam. “I can’t”
Sam swallowed hard, “You can, someone has to watch out for Shane when I’m gone….”
“You are NOT gone! Damn it, I’ve been in worse situations than this and…”
“Jo, don’t die here with me, please, or I’ll never be at peace…,” said Sam softly. “It’s ok, CJ’s there waiting for me, Jesse too… please Jo, go and don’t look back.”
“Jo!” yelled Emma from the window, flames now licking up the side of the train. Jo looked back, watching as Emma scrambled into the car. “Oh god, Sam.”
“Get… her out… of here…,” said Sam with the last of her strength, “Tell Shane I love her.”
“No, you are going to tell her yourself,” said Jo as Emma wrapped her arms around Jo, tugging at her friend. Emma saw it happening, she had seconds to act, dragging Jo away from Sam, knowing it was futile to try and save her now. “Emma let me go!” yelled Jo desperately, her fingertips brushing Sam’s, not wanting to leave her.
“ShadowWalk or we are going to die and leave our kids without mothers, do it for Spence and Riley, now JO!” ordered Emma, closing her eyes, and Jo felt Emma kicking back pushing them away from the car, Emma praying that Jo made them intangible. Casting the spell, Jo heard the explosion that finally sent the car plummeting over the edge, unable to keep the spells hold any longer; Jo solidified herself and Emma just as they slammed against the ground, knocking the wind from the both of them. The last image Jo saw before passing out was the fire ball of flame disappearing into the churning river below.

Damn, that was intense. Although it seem inevitable that Sam would die with her luck or lack of. Too bad Jo could save her.

J, I know you can figure out a way for Sam to still be alive. Please…Come on, why does anyone have to die? You made us love these characters that you created, so don’t take them away from us. PLEEEEEZE……save Sam!!!!
DAMN JM! Is Sam’s family tree cursed or what? More hardship has come this womans way than any character in a Lifetime T.V. movie. I was reading this update w/ the feeling of gloom in the pit of my stomach (& you didn’t disappoint.) Have to mention, you continue to physically torture Jo – ‘her nose exploded’ – too gross. LOL I’ll stick to my repetitive adjectives instead of digging for new ones that describe your fic – F*ckin’ fantastic.By the by just read JADES again this past week I was just as glued as I was the first time.
Damn you’re good!!! Better than good!! I am so caught up in this story! Thank you J.
Excellent installment…but I need to upgrade you from mean to evil for killing Sam, wickedly evil JM!
