    Jo tries to soothe Bette – Shane asks some questions, but gets more mystery – Lara gets angry and Alice comes knocking – Quin fibs to Tina – Jo asks someone a favour – Bette offers an olive branch…. and more…:)

     

                “Right, as Brian said in his phone call, both twins will go with whomever on all vacations, they can fly back and forth for school vacations, alternating, of course.  If, at any time after the twins are 13, they wish to ‘switch’ parents, they have the right too….,” said Rosita.  “Are you sure about this?” asked the woman.  “I mean, you are giving up one of your kids.”

     

                “Not really, I mean, they are Sam’s kids, and Justin’s.  He could ask for both of them, but he didn’t, he knows why I want to do this.  Who knows, maybe in a few years I’ll ask Brian for some sperm, and I can have a kid of my own, you know, with my own egg and everything…,” mused Shane.

     

                “Who are you?” asked Rosita with a serious scowl.

     

                “Huh?”

     

                “Who are you?  Where is Shane?  The playboy that I was supposed to be making jealous by fucking her off the Chart?” asked Rosita taking the papers and putting them together again, Shane already having signed them.

     

                An amused smile graced Shane’s full lips, “Still here, but…  I have this really wonderful opportunity do something different, and something good.  I’ve always looked out for me, just for Shane.  Now, I got him to look after…,” said Shane, pointing to Shay.  “Sam looked after everyone, and made it seem so fucking easy.”

     

                “Well, she was a saint, you’re not,” grumbled Rosita.  “I’ll fax these to Justin, and mail him a set to sign too.  Sam had a fax?” asked Ro, pulling the pencil from her hair and tapping the eraser on the papers.

     

                “Yeah, the office in the back of the stairs has one, not like I can work it,” laughed Shane. 

     

                “How about I show you,” smirked Rosita.  “You a big ass business woman now, you gotta know how to fax…”

     

                “I gotta know how to text, to blackberry, to answer email….,” mumbled Shane.  “I picked a company, to run, or at least, get to understand, and this is like a little thing, and there is a lot to learn.”

     

                “What company?” asked Rosita as she loaded the papers in the fax.  She took out a scrap of paper from her pockets and found the fax number to Brian’s offices.

    2. Amy needs to get a grip and think about Jo instead of her selfish self. She lost her, Bette has her, end of story or at least end of this chapter. I still don’t think Bette will let her die.

    4. HELL YEAH I’m anti Bette & Tina. Was Quinn just ‘in the moment’ w/ Tina, & now she’s not feelin’ her? Ugh! Not Paige! Whats she doin’ here (in this fic)? O.k. it seems like you’re rearranging couples again. My poor Jo, I don’t like to see her weak & helpless although she’s putting up a good front -Give ‘er that needle Bette! Luv it.

    5. ooooooh, a new story…nice! Short or long, your posts are always such a good read. Although I usually like her with Bette, you write Tina and Quin so well that I am loving them together…what’s up with the lying!! I can’t imagine that you’re sending her back to Bette.

    6. This was a great posting. I laughed hard at Shane and her super spy self. I don;t want to get to sad for Jo because you have foreshadowed her dead and alive I don’t know what to think. Alice and Laura better take things slow. Ro and Shane? Jo and who? This is full of posssibilities.

    7. Hmmm…so Shane’s going to start snooping on the Kindred? It feels like something strange is about to happen to Alice, Lara, and Carmen. And why is Quin lying to Tina? The whole Tina/Bette/Jo/Amy thing is about to blow up it seems. Thanks for the update.

    8. Nooooo! Bette… don’t do it. I don’t even know how she’d get back into that room to get the vampire DNA in the first place, but still… Bette shouldn’t do it. Alice and Lara… I can see a reunion borne of commiseration, and well, I’m not against it. If Carmen’s going to try and get back with Shane, well… so be it. And why’s Quin lying to Tina alla sudden? Fate fighting to right itself in triplicate, perhaps? Anyway, great update, merci pour le chapitre, Janet.
