    The Thursday dinner continues… drama and a little love for Tina and Bette.

    Bette was at a loss for words. Every single day she had hoped for Tina to say something like that.
    “Bette?”
    Bette faced Tina. “Do you know how I have longed for you to say that… to tell me that you wanted back what we once had, and that you want to fight for it?
    “I think I might have an idea… yes…” Tina whispered. She took a step forward and leant into Bette’s body. She slipped her arms around Bette’s waist and pulled her closer.
    Bette held her breath as Tina’s body pressed into hers. She felt like she was about to faint, everything was spinning and her heart was beating furiously.
    “Inhale for me, baby…” Tina whispered close to Bette’s ear. Her breath tickled Bette and made her shiver.
    Bette took a deep breath as Tina told her to.
    “That’s good… now put your arms around me, please…” Tina whispered.
    Again Bette did what she was told and let her arms slip around Tina’s back.
    “Can we just stay like this for a little while?” Bette said, finally regaining her ability to speak.
    “Absolutely…”

    They stood so close for a long time gently swaying from side to side as if they were dancing to music only they could hear.
    “What was the stories you told Kit… the stories of your happiness? Tina whispered still holding Bette close.
    Bette smiled against Tina’s cheek. “I told her about one of the times I came over to your place to surprise you before a date… do you remember that day, when you were cleaning your apartment and I came over straight from the gym?”
    “Mmmm, I remember…. did you really share that with Kit? It was kind of steamy if I remember correctly…” Tina giggled.
    “Your memory serves you just fine… it was very hot… and no I didn’t share that part with Kit… just what went on up until then…”
    “Oh phew… that’s a relief…. what else?
    “I told her about the breast incident…” Bette said with mischief in her voice.
    “… what breast incident?” Tina asked innocently.
    “You know, the breast incident… the time that you felt me up even though we had only just met…” Bette teased.
    “Hmmm, I don’t remember such an incident… maybe it was something that happened with someone else?”
    “Tina!” Bette whined, “You cannot tell me that you forgot.” Bette leant back in Tina’s arms and looked at her in horror.
    “… Oh, the breast ACCIDENT…. oh, yeah now I remember…” Tina laughed. She pulled Bette back close to her while she kept laughing.
    Bette laughed with her. She loved the sensation of Tina laughing so close to her body… she had always loved to hug Tina when she was laughing. It was like the happiness transcended more easily to Bette, when they were physically close.
    “You were teasing me…” Bette giggled, “I knew you would never forget.”
    “How could I… you’ve reminded me endlessly…”
    “I might have mentioned it once or twice…”
    “Try hundreds of times…”
    Bette bit her lip not to laugh out loud.
    “Don’t do that… your bruise just healed…” Tina whispered and let two fingers rest against Bette’s soft lips.
    They were both quiet not wanting to break the spell they seemed to be under.

    “I should go…” Tina smiled and took a step back.
    “Ok… I’ll walk you to your car…”
    They went into the house and Tina gathered her purse and jacket. When they reached Tina’s car Bette took Tina’s hand.
    “I had a great time tonight… when can I see you again?”
    “I have to pick up my stuff from Henry’s this weekend… he said I could spend some time with Mikey, so I would like to make myself available for that. Maybe I could come by Sunday night… are you having Sunday dinner with the girls?”
    “How about if we had Sunday dinner just you and me… would that be okay?”
    “That would be fine… I might need a shoulder to cry on… seeing Mikey and telling him that I wont live with him anymore is going to be tough.”
    “I can imagine it will be… I’ll be here… for whatever you need.”
    “I’ll look forward to it… see you Sunday.”
    Tina got into her car and drove off. When she looked in the rearview mirror, she could see Bette standing on the sidewalk watching her go.

    7. well done ankar, I don’t know how I missed ch11 but I went back to read it….Its not easy for T to get over B’s betrayal and I understand her running to Henry and Mikey or anywhere…patience and some love will help mend T’s broken heart and mend her confidence I hope…PPS

    8. Yes you were right something good did come from Tina’s outburst. I was really worried for a moment, but they talked about what they were feeling and that is important. I love how it wasn’t just Bette initiating the talking or the touching which is a positive sign. They belong together and this was a good step in that direction. Keep posting.

    13. What are u talking about “if” i read this chapter? Its WHEN i read u’r new chapters. Just to clarify that :) U had me a little scared from Tina blowing up on Bette, just for a sec. I thought this chapter was great. I’m glad they are starting to work things out and get closer. I’m kinda worried about Henry though. Hopefully he wont mess around with Tina’s emotions toward Mikey. Looking forward to u’r next post. So PPS.

    16. Bette and Tina talking openly and honestly with each other—got to love it. I guess they both have to realize that the pain they put each other through isn’t going to go away that quickly, it will take time and work on both their parts to be able to put that pain behind them and move forward. Since the love is still there they can do it together. Please don’t have Henry use his own son to take his hurt out on Tina because Mickey is just an innocent child in all of this and two wrongs don’t make a right. I can’t get enough of your wonderfull story telling anker, so please post again soon and thanks!

    18. I really love how they are reconnecting. There is some intense time but also some special moments time. It is going to take this kind of remembering and working through the pain to get to a spot that they can once again share their lives with each other. I love this front seat view of my favorite couple working to be friends first and hopefully lovers and wives next.

    22. This was a lovely chapter, after the storm, the calm and love arrived and Tina did it so good, if in the last chpater i was a little anger with her with this one i love her more. It will be difficult for Tina her meeting with Micky but Bette will be there for support her. thanks for this lovely post
