    “Oh baby girl there ain’t nothin’ wrong with her. But I can’t be the one to tell you. I’ll tell you what I’m goin over to her house in a couple hours why don’t you come with me.”

    “Sounds good to me.. I’ll go get settled in and meet you over there at what say seven?”

    “Perfect… Oh and hey Al.. no booze tonight K!”

    “Yeah whatever!”

    “I’m serious. No booze!” Kit shot Alice the ‘don’t mess with me look’

    “Alright Alright.. no booze”

    * * * * *

    When Bette and Tina pulled into the driveway they were greeted by three smiling faces waiting for them. The kids knew that they had been to the doctor to check on the baby, and that they might get to know if it was a boy or a girl. They were obviously excited! The door flew open as Bette and Tina hit the front steps.

    “Mommy”
    “Momma”

    “Your home!”

    “Hey guys… did you have fun with Auntie Shane today?”

    They cheers were enough to leave no question in either woman’s mind.

    “Hey buddy.. your hair looks great.” Tina said as she ruffled his hair.

    “You like it Momma?”

    “I do!”

    “What about you Mommy?”

    Bette had a hard time… her little boy was growing up. He just had to have a “Cool Haircut”, but Shane had managed to make them both happy. Colin got his “Cool Haircut” and it was cut in a way that could easily be styled in a more conservative way if need be. “It looks good little man.”

    Bette felt a tug at her shirt, and looked down to find Skyler looking up at her.

    “Hey baby girl!”

    “Mommy?”

    “Yeah sweetie..”

    “Is the baby Ok?” Bette looked over to Tina. Tina gave her a nod.

    “He sure is Sky… Would you like to see some pictures?”

    “HE???”

    “Yep HE.. you are going to have a little brother.”

    “Can I see the pictures Momma?” Colin asked.

    5. That was great and Alice was so Alice and I loved every minute of it. Everything is going fast, but like you said sometimes you just know what’s right for you and you need to go for it. PPS

    6. This is a lovely story and the children are so sweet and cut. They all love the idea of being a complete family as well as having a new baby in the house. Tell me nothing is gonna wreck this new loving family, please. I just smell disaster looming on the horizion, they don’t need it and neither do we. Great story. PPS or when you can.

    10. loving the shock affect of Alice/Shane. Being their closet friends but not knowing all of the details initally… LOL..Happy times I hope remain and maybe we could hook up some Danish as well..
