    Chapter 37

    Previously…

    “Come on now Al.. this isn’t rocket science. This is Skyler.. and this is Hailey they are our daughters, and as for this one.. you will just have to wait and find out with everyone else.” Bette said rubbing her belly.

    “Oh you so have some serious explaining to do Porter.”

    “Later Al. I promise I will explain it all later.”

    * * * * *

    The pizza came and Kate was right behind. Introductions were made quickly and the questions started immediately.

    “Ok..Ok.. you all know that Tina and I had a doctor’s appointment this morning, and we got some exciting news that we wanted to share.”

    “We found out today that we are having a little boy.. and with the help of our wonderful children we have decided that his name will be…” Tina paused to let Bette tell everyone his name.

    “Gavin Tyler Kennard-Porter”

    “We have a DVD of the sonogram if…” Tina was quickly cut off by the excited demands of their family to see the new addition.

    Bette put in the DVD and the room fell silent as they all watched intently and got their first glimpse of little Gavin. As soon as the video was over it was like they flipped a switch and they all started in at once.

    “He’s beautiful”

    “He’s so cute”

    “He looks just like Colin when he was a baby”

    “He has Bette’s smile”

    “He has Tina’s nose… How the hell does he have Tina’s nose?”

    And it continued for a half hour.

    “Babe.. I’m gonna get the kids in bed”

    “Ok T… you need some help?”

    “No babe.. you stay here and talk.. I’ll be back in a bit… let’s go guys its time for bed. Go give your goodnight kisses.” The kids quickly made their way around the room. Giving hugs, kisses, good nights and I love yous to all.

    Shane got up and made her way over to Tina. “Tiney I’m gonna head out. Thank you for having me, and Congratulations to both of you.”
