    A very upset little girl… and an important meeting.

    “Like Mommy B picked me and Sissy and you picked Colin Momma?” Skyler asked proud of the fact she had it all figured out.

    “Yes sweetie… except we haven’t had a formal adoption for you kids… Yet!”

    “But don’t you want to be our Mommy?” Hailey looked at Bette with crocodile tears ready to spill over.

    “Owww… of course I do.. come here Boo.” Bette picked Hailey up and sat her on her lap. “I do want to be your Mommy.. very much so Boo. I love you both so very much.. In fact Momma and I had a very important meeting this morning to sign some papers that will put us a step closer to adopting you kids.”

    “You did?” Hailey asked with a wide eyed wonderment only a child can posess.

    “We did” Bette reassured with a smile

    “In fact there is a woman coming here in a little while to talk to Mommy and me.. she will want to talk to you guys to.”

    “What will she say to us?” Skyler asked.

    “Well sweetie she will probably ask you questions about Mommy and me, and maybe ever your brother and sister.” Bette watched Skyler as Tina explained what was going to happen. She was making it perfectly clear she was not thrilled with the idea of a stranger asking her anything about her family.

    “Sky honey what’s the matter?” Bette asked a little concerned about the attitude that was starting to show.

    Sky looked up at Bette with her little arms across her chest. “Does she get a say?”

    “Yes honey she does…” Tina was cut off by a very upset Skyler.

    “THATS NOT FAIR!!!” and with that she was gone running upstairs to her room. Tina looked up at Bette with fear in her eyes knowing they only had a half hour before the social worker got there.

    “Let me go talk to her T.”

    “Are you sure?”

    “Yeah… you stay here and finish talking to these two.” Bette gave Tina a reassuring smile as she passed Hailey off to her.

    “Why don’t you come sit down here with us little man.” Tina said with a smile. Colin quickly slid off the couch and sat down beside his Momma.

    8. Skyler was very out spoken which actually worked out for Bette and Tina. The fact that Nicole heard what was said between mommy and daughter may have been what will totally seal the deal. Actually there should be no problem at all with the second parent adoption.

    11. love it!! tina answer was correct now to hear bette’s side… the very fact that tina is concerned about bette’s health should be major points for them… as well as bette’s conversation to skye on her level. :)PPS
