“Oh. Do you think someone captured you laying your spell on me with that one kiss Mizz Kennard?” Bette teased.

“Very funny Bette.” Tina said as she continued to scan the crowds around them.

“It’s probably nothing T. Just some people having a good time. Don’t worry.” Bette said as she gently turned Tina’s face from gazing around to look at her smiling.

“Okay. It just felt odd that’s all like someone has been following us or something.”

“Really? Did you see anything suspicious?” Now Bette got worried as she once again looked around.

“I just felt something when we were walking around here like someone was watching us. But please don’t worry. You are probably right it was nothing. I just got a bit spooked for no reason. You know how it is in the big cities.” Tina said as she saw that she had gotten Bette worried unnecessarily.

“Okay.” Bette still didn’t appear convinced though.

“Babe, take us home?” Tina said.

Bette smiled nodding. She offered her hand and carefully pulled Tina up.

“Anything you say Tee.” She said as they started walking back towards home holding each other’s hands.

“Baby, what do you say we check out that new restaurant that we saw in the morning later tonight?” Tina asked twinkle once again apparent in her eyes.

“Are you saying you wanna have dinner with me?” Bette asked grinning.

“Uhuh.”

They stopped walking as Bette turned Tina to face her.

“Like on a date?!” Bette gave Tina the Porter smile fully aware what that smile did to Tina.

Oh that thousand watt smile is gonna be the end of me, Tina thought.

“What’s it gonna be Porter?” Tina giggled feeling silly and giddy asking Bette out. She looked at Bette shyly biting her lip and batting her eyelashes.

“Like there was a chance in hell I would say no to that, my beautiful southern belle! Trust me you won’t know what hit you!” Bette said teasingly and laughing at Tina blushing.

“Oh you are going down Porter! Let’s go.” Tina said laughing as she linked her arm once again with Bette’s and pulled a still chuckling Bette along with her.

“Bring it on Kennard!”
