Eternally your: when a lifetime is not enough # 11

    “No…”

When she broke the connection, it was too much to contain and she grieved while she slid over the wall, till her forehead found the cold floor. Bette couldn’t sob. There was no air.

Dana brought her near and placed the inhaler inside her lips.

    “Shhh…Sweetheart…Shhh…You’re back, sweetheart…Take it easy…”

The tennis player watched the picture in front of them. The mocha’s hand still held the t-shirt with despair. “Shhh….There’s nothing he can do to harm you now, dear…” Dana murmured to Bette’s ear.

    —————————

I can’t say what I felt because it’s too big, too powerful, too painful to codify, to put in words. But I can describe what I saw, Tina.

It was you, the one I dreamed constantly, as always, but as usual, we’re living another lifetime. The life that marked me forever. Inside my fevered vision I see you coming home but I was missing. I’ve had leaved. That’s what you thought. You got more than sad, you got sick because of my abandon. You were dying because I’ve had lived you behind… Because I betrayed you. I lied to you. I was not by your side like I promised always being and nobody could say wherever I was. I vanished in the air and I’d left you behind. There was not a sigh from me. Neither my dog. I’ve had gone. I could sense your despair and disorientation. I could still feel. So much sorrow and pain…

And I could see, during those sad, heavy, unhappy days, by the side of your bed, he was.

He was by your side offering words of peace. He gave words of hope. He consoled you, my widow. He.

I could see your days after I’ve had long gone. I watched you follow with your life. Your lungs, with time, breathed fresh air again and I…I became the bitter taste in your mouth. An old scar that hurt once in a while when storms prepare to came down to earth. The sad memory you carried, I became.

And you married him. I could see you both. He. And you’ve had children with him. God! You lived with him, being grateful for all he had done to you. He brought you from death and you are so grateful to him, Tina. He mended your heart.

    1. Holy wow, Braz! We are in AWE with the brilliant way in which you made all the pieces of the puzzle starting to fit and make sense. Absolutely amazing, dear friend. Anything we could add, would not do justice to the extraordinary way in which you are bringing this story to life. Just wonderful, Braz! Thanks for making us part of the journey of this unique and fantastic story. PPS Hugs & Kisses on both your cheeks. – Lucero & Marsha (Latin JC’s Salsa Aunties) P.S. Hope the moving process to your new and fabulous home has been great. Just remember that your time in the Spotlight is not over yet, dear friend. You still have tomorrow (saturday) to answer more questions, sweetie. Xoxoxo

    2. Congrats with a good news Braz, happy for you. Wish u all the best and with many happy memories into your new home. That was good chapter, poor Bette and hope she will fight and get her life back this time of a lifetime with Tina. Ok now what Alices up to!

    3. Everytime I read another chapter in this story I get goosebumps because it is so brilliantly written. I love how all the characters are rallying around Bette because they recognize that she is Tina’s soulmate. The use of Meltic as Bette’s bestfriend and murderer is so powerful. He essentially stole her life as well as her love. Braz you have captured my imagination with your story. Best of luck with the new home. Sorry I missed you in the spotlight.
