She had kissed Brenda back, feeling the strings of lust pull her body, feeling the strong desire to wash away the loneliness. Years ago she had laughed as someone had told her sex had many meanings. Recently, she had found out. It did, indeed,  have many meanings. And sometimes, maybe, it didn’t have a meaning at all… She couldn’t help it, too, to wonder back, and think about Candace… Had that been it, for Bette? A way to wash away the loneliness?

Alice voice sounded apologizing as she stated:

Oh Tina, you know I didn’t mean that, you’re beautiful! You’re just not really the one night stand kind of girl right? So, are you gonna see her again?

As if Angelica had followed the line of the conversation, the little girl grabbed to the table once more, this time grabbing a small rectangular card that held a phone number. Glad that Alice hadn’t requested an answer on the first question asked, Tina felt again the guilt creep up. The guilt that followed her as her eyes were drawn to that picture.

She heard Jodi’s voice again in her head, and closed her eyes shortly, feeling how she began to tremble… She had to move on…
