They sat on the sofa, watching Superbad, eating Chinese and enjoy the close proximity they were in.  As they finished their food they discarded the takeaway boxes and Dana lay out flat on the sofa yawning, patting her chest and holding out her hands like a child, hoping Alice would cuddle in close to her.  Alice thought the sight was adorable and couldn’t resist Dana’s demands, lying along her body resting her head on Dana’s chest comforted by the gentle rise and fall of her breathing.  Dana played with Alice’s hair as they watched the rest of the film, both women glowing with happiness.

As the film ended Alice pushed herself up from Dana, looking outside, she smiled, standing up she grabbed Dana’s hand and led her outside to the house’s lavish balcony.  She gently guided a relaxed Dana to a comfortable enclosed area covered in cushions, “It’s sunset time Dane and it’s so beautiful from here.” 

Alice lay down first, pulling Dana down beside her, they instantly fell into a comfortable position as their bodies slotted perfectly alongside each other.  Their legs intertwined, Dana’s head on Alice’s shoulder as Alice slipped her arm round her and Dana drew little circles on Alice’s stomach.  They lay watching the sunset in perfect harmony, at that moment nothing in the world mattered except each other and the immense comfort they felt when they were together. 

Dana lifted her head through her sleepy haze looking at Alice thinking she’d never seen her looking so beautiful, surrounded by the orange/red glow of the sun setting.  She feathered little kisses up Alice’s shoulder and neck until she reached her lips, “Thank you for coming today Al, it’s been amazing, really amazing” and with that she leaned in, pressing her lips against Alice’s.  They kissed slowly and delicately, trying to show the other through their kisses how much the other meant to them.  They kissed softly for the best part of an hour before reluctantly separating and resuming their previous positions, “Can we sleep here tonight baby?” Dana asked through muffled yawns.  Alice thought she almost felt her heart melt as she looked down at Dana, “Only if you hold me tight and keep me warm”

“I will” Dana whispered as she kissed Alice’s shoulder.  Both girls fell instantly into a deep sleep, feeling more relaxed and comfortable than either had probably felt in their lives.
