Tina slowly opened her eyes and looked around grasping her
bearing and shaking her head. “Bette I’m
sorry. I must have closed my eyes. I know you and I need to talk. Just give me a minute.” Tina now was rubbing
her eyes willing her mind to clear.
“Bette really I’m sorry.
Tell me what you want to talk about?” Tina says as she sits up a little
straighter on the couch and looks to Bette to join her.
Bette looks at Tina trying to make up her mind, knowing that
Tina is tired but also knowing they haven’t talked in two days. Relenting to the need to talk Bette begins to
sit down “Ok Baby, I need to talk to you about my meetings with Jack. I talked with him the other day when you were
out of town and then again today at his office.
He had a few points ..”
Tina finds herself staring at Bette’s lips as she talks in
an effort to make sense of the words as they tumble out of her mouth. Focusing and hearing the words but not able
to string their meaning together in her mind, Tina struggles to hear what Bette
is saying.
” cutting to the chase of both the meetings the adoption was
the primary focus.” Bette finishes as she watches the expressions cross Tina’s
face. It is blatantly clear to Bette
that Tina is just too weary for this conversation. Bette could tell that Tina was there in body
but not in full mind. As much as Tina
was willing her mind was not. This will
have to wait.
“No Baby I think any more of this must wait till
morning. But no longer though we haven’t
had a chance to talk in days and well a lot has happened. Come let’s go to bed.” Bette says helping
Tina up and leading her to the bedroom.
“God what did I do to deserve you?” Tina asks as she feels
comfort in the strong arms around her waist leading her to their bedroom.
Chapter 117 – What???? Confirmation
Tina was in a deep sleep when she hears Anna in the baby
monitor. She was in that pre-awake just
a little whimper mode that she has as she wakes up but not the full I am
hungry, wet and nasty in this diaper cry.
This noise instantly registered in Tina’s consciousness waking Tina
up. Anna has been sleeping through the
night lately. Maybe with the fever she
had yesterday morning, it was back causing Anna to wake up. Tina was instantly awake but doesn’t want to
be. Her head felt like it had been the
anvil to some blacksmiths hammer, it was heavy and felt pounded on.

I’ve been dreading and waiting for this chapter for a while; I’m such a TiBette fan that my heart was in my throat when I read the first lines of the chapter – I thought Bette left Tina so Helena would stop harassing her.
I’ve also been looking forward to this post because the wonder that is Alice, how she and Dana and Shane got to do the happy dance. I have to be honest and did not think Alice would have been that patient in waiting out her prey.
Your story is so wonderful, I can feel the emotions running through each character.

Bette’s behaviour between last night and this morning contradict each other. I do not think she left her family at least not willingly but I’ll have to complete this comment later – work beckons! :(
OK we are all doing the “Happy Dance” for Alice and she really is going the distance… But i cant believe you left this chapter without telling or even hinting where Bettes gone!!!lol but thanks anyway! lol as always enjoyed it.
You’re on a terrific roll of story and good writing.
I fell behind, but I’m all caught up now. It chills me that Helena is going after Anna. Did Bette move out to protect Anna from Helena’s legal moves? Is she going to put the adoption on hold?

As for this tremendous and traumatic tale, Tina’s slow realization that Bette wasn’t there when she awoke to Anna’s gentle murmurings was splendid. I could feel her terror start and escalate in to full blow horror. All of a sudden the world is on top of you as you begin to comprehend all of the dangers the world holds.
I do hope that Bette is being sensible and not going HELL FIRE after the SheDevil. Unless there is an urgent, cannot be missed, piece of information that needs finding at the moment then Bette needs to share with Tnia what is going on.
By being together and happy is the best revenge against HellCat’s delusions. It does amaze me how one can fool themselves into believing anything.
Alice was brilliant at drawing all the salient points from Jacqueline. Guess you do catch more flies with honey than fly paper. Astounding how a little bit of flattery destroys all inhibitions and gets tongues a-wagging.
The three Mouth-eteers have done Bette and Tina proud.
Let the payback begins.

Dude! i am officially at a loss of words over this one, as well as ideas as to where Bette may be.
Ok, where did you put the pedestal… coz its gone missing! And Tina can’t find it either.
I would travel lingeringly around the WHOLE pedestal gazing at every angle and I’m sure my eyes would fixate upon the ample frontage for more than a moment, its just that I would linger every so slightly longer around the back!!!

Wouldn’t Bette leave Tina a note if she had to leave unexpectedly? Or did Tina and I both miss something? Hmmm.
Oh Alice…you are smooth. She knows how to work someone’s ego, that’s for sure. Maybe the CIA or FBI could use Alice when she’s finished.

Where’s Bette? Did she really need someone to talk to and perhaps went over to Kit’s? Has she gone out to do some investigative work herself? Can you tell I’m just grasping at straws here? I’m thinking the same thing as Lsbn. Why wouldn’t Bette leave Tina a note before she went out?

Great post, I am glad that Alice’s nose is finally being used for good. But what happen to BETTE? I hope that she is not trying to handle this by herself.
