Gotta be somebody
Dana extended her hands. “It’s nice to meet you Miss Pieszecki.”
Alice took her hand. “It’s Alice. Nice to meet to you too.”
They held their hands for a little longer before they pulled away.
“So let’s head to the dining table now. I’m starving.” Tina gestured to the dining hall.
Alice smiled at Dana before she followed behind Tina closely. Dana looked at her up and down. Bette couldn’t help but to tease her friend.
“Not bad eh? I told you she’s hot.” Bette whispered.
Dana turned to her and smiled. They walked into the dining hall together.
The dinner went very well. They talked about almost everything, crack at jokes and teased each other mercilessly. Dana steal glances at the blonde whenever she thought the blonde was not looking. She was mesmerized at the sight before her. From the way she curled her lips for a smile up to the way she laughed, it was infectious. The way she held her spoon, the way she sipped and swallowed her wine, everything she did they seemed to make Dana’s heart skipped a beat. Dana brought her gaze back to her wine glass and smiled. She hadn’t been so happy and relaxed for sometime now. She heaved a contented sigh.
The dinner soon over and it was time to go. Dana was a bit disappointed as she didn’t want the night to end. Tina’s lips curled up knowing her friend.
“Dane can you fetch Alice back? I have to finish up my proposal by tonight and there’s a lot to do but it’s ok if….” Tina was cut off before she could finish.
“It’s ok Tina.” Dana answered. She looked at Alice and smiled.
“Are you sure? I can take a cab.” Alice asked.
“I’m sure. Shall we?” Dana asked.
“Ok.” Both hugged their friends’ goodbye and made their way to Dana’s car.
Tina looked at Bette and grinned. Bette put her arm around her lover’s shoulder and kissed her cheek lovingly before both switched their gaze back to their friends who were almost out of sight.
Dana opened the door for Alice to slide in and closed it gently behind her before she walked to the driver’s side. The drive to Alice’s was filled with conversations with Dana asked about her life in NY and her new environment in LA and Alice asked Dana about her life and family and her favourite sport tennis. Both were contented at how well the night went and were looking forward for more.

This was great. Will there be more? They belong together.
What a great story. Long live Danish
So sweet! thanks uhhuh
Another excellent one-off, uhhuh! I feel for Dana – it is so easy to just let work become your life. Good thing Tina and Bette intervened to get her on track. Love this line “And Dana’s heart didn’t belong to her anymore from that day onwards.” – beautiful. The ending was great with the future so bright. Thanks so much!!
