Not time for lullabies"

All night and into the early morning hours, words uttered around a year or so ago haunt her dreams.  "I hate being the hurter…"  She never wants to hurt Alice.  She never wants to hurt Lara.  But in these dawning hours of the day, Dana wonders if not taking that risk is doing more harm than good for everyone.  She can feel the arms surrounding her, so comforting they are.  She turns around in bed and sees Alice, her eyes still closed.    Dana leans in and kisses her on the lips, prompting a grin from Alice’s face before her eyes open.  Her voice is barely a whisper this morning.

Dana: Heyyy…

Alice: You look beautiful this morning.

Dana realizes someone’s missing.

Dana: Where’s Lara?

Alice: Uhhh….I think she left early for work.

Dana: Shit…back to work already?

Alice: …Yep.  I think both her and Jenny.  Funny, since Jenny doesn’t really need the job now.  I think she just does it part time as an excuse to hang out at the Planet.

Dana: Well, we don’t need that excuse, do we?

Alice: Mm, mm.

The night before, the three of them made love together.  This morning, only two of them remain in bed.  The third component, Lara is dressed in her white chef’s uniform, but it is not the Planet that she is at this morning.  That will be later on.  First, another stop for her as she still has the key to the apartment.

Carmen can barely recall, but she knows that Uta took her back to her car and then followed her back home to make sure she was okay.  She rises from her bed and walks down the hall to the living room where she sees Uta resting peacefully on the fold-out bed of the couch.  Uta could have taken advantage of her last night, but didn’t.  Last night, Carmen may have very well made a friend.  She walks back to her bedroom, longing to sleep away as much of the day as possible.

There is no sleeping in Helena’s home as the hired help welcome Helena’s mother, Peggy into the house along with Marilyn.  Peggy and Marilyn are soon followed by Jun Ying and Wilson, who sprint towards the waiting Helena for a hug.  Leigh stands next to Helena, smiling at the sight.  Helena’s ex, Winnie then enters the home calmly.  Everyone gathers together in the living room, with Marilyn playing impromptu babysitter for the children.
