"hey Shane" Jenny’s voice boomed over the phone… as she stepped outside and lit a cigarette..
"hey … look, can you and the others do me a huge favor.. but don’t tell Carm" Shane asked… even though she knew jenny would do it…
"sure…"

The next four days at the clinic went by smoothly for Shane.. when she wasn’t in group or having one of her many treatments, she spent her time either thinking about Carmen or starring out the the window of her room.. she had everything plan for her first official date with Carmen… she was nervous, she’d never been on a real date before… so today, everything had to be perfect….
It was now 4:30 and Shane was leaning up against a wall outside the clinic waiting for Alice and Jenny to pick her up… she made it clear on the phone not to tell Carmen about anything they had discussed… Jenny agreed and couldn’t have been happier to help… As she waited, Shane watched as other patients came and went from the building… she felt great knowing she had just completed the hardest part of turning her life around… a cars horn startled her out of her daydreams and she looked in the direction of the noise, a genuine smile grew on her face when she saw Alice and Jenny walking towards her…
"Hey guys" she said meeting them half way…
"Shane!!" Jenny shrieked running up to her and pulling Shane into a hug… "how are you?" Jenny asked as she released her grip on Shane and grabbed one of her bags…
"I’m good… really good" Shane answered honestly… she couldn’t remember a time she truly felt better… a goofy smile still plastered across her face..
"So lover-girl … ready for your date" Alice asked nudging Shane with her elbow and raising her eyebrow suggestively … Shane rolled her eyes at the sound of Alice’s new nickname for her…
"stop calling me that" Shane pleaded…
"what LOVER-GIRL!!!, but shaney your in love…" Alice practically screamed… she loved pushing Shane’s buttons…
Shane groaned and turned her attention to Jenny as they made their way to Alice’s mini cooper "so is everything ready"

Aww….This is so sweet I can feel my teeth rotting…lmao. I loved it. You have me salivating for the next chapter. By the way, for future posting ‘fallowing’ is a word used in agriculture to mean ‘plowing and leaving land unseeded’. I think the word you want is ‘following’ which means in context ‘to come after or pursue’.Other than that, I loved the way you tied Shane’s back-story in the date and it helped to bring her closer to Carmen(if that’s possible). It’s also very believable circa season three, before the wedding fiasco. Oh and Alice is priceless! Like I said, I’m waiting for the next part…do I smell an NC17 coming?
