Tina just kissed her, hoping it will stop her from reacting to whatever it was Alice had as a comeback. It worked Bette was so lost in the kiss she didn’t hear anything.
“Bette!” Alice yelled.
“WHAT?” Bette said angrily turning around to glare at Alice.
“You didn’t listen to a word I said!” Alice whined.
“No, and I don’t care” Bette said looking at Tina again.
“But… it was a good one!” Alice whined.
“Look at it this way,” Shane said, “You can use it again and she’ll never know”
“I can, can’t I? You’ll never know what hit you!” Alice said to Bette,
Bette separated herself from Tina’s mouth, “What was that Al?”
“Oh, nothing, you just go back to sucking lips.” Alice said. Bette shrugged and returned to Tina’s lips.
“Yeah, you just carry on, live your life, have some kids. I’ll be waiting… when you less expect it… POW!” Alice said, slamming her fist.
“Al, it wasn’t that good” Bette said between kisses. Alice just sat there with a shocked look.
“Pancakes anyone?” Maxine came back with Melvin behind her.
“ME!!” Alice said.
“Alice, you just ate three French toasts, bacon and scramble egg!” Bette said shocked.
“Well. I’m a growing girl!” Alice defended.
“You’ll grow alright” Bette mumbled.
“Bette, do you have a problem with other people’s weight? I mean you think Tina’s fat, now me… who’s next?” Alice asked smiling.
“I don’t think Tina’s fat!!”
“That’s not what Tina told the entire restaurant you were in” Alice said.
“Bette!” Maxine said. ”Tell me you didn’t!!” Maxine looked shocked.
Tina was feeling really bad. Bette looked like a trapped animal. “No, she didn’t.” Tina hurried to Bette’s rescue. “It was me, I just gained a few pounds and felt a little insecure and took it out on Bette, really she was amazing made me feel great.”
“Well good. And if she ever gives you troubles you come to me Tina. Really telling a beautiful girl like you you’re fat.” Maxine said, shaking her head.
“I didn’t tell her she’s fat!”
“She didn’t tell me I’m fat” Tina and Bette said together.

Bette and Alice’s banter is hysterical! They are both acting like 5 year-olds. Her parents are great characters as well. Can’t wait for the next chappie…

Haven’t seen the movie, but loving your adaptation. Makes me want to rent it. Pscho Tina is too funny, but glad she took it down a couple of notches while at Bette’s parent’s house. Great read!!
