"Wow Tina. Does Bette know you feel like that?"

"Well I kind of told her some of it last night when I told her I bought the house."

"Holy shit! What did she say?"

"Nothing."

"Nothing?"

"Yep, nothing."

"Well did you say anything else after she said nothing?"

"No, I just hung up."

"Wow. Tina. Man, I am sorry. That must have been hard."

"Well, what did I expect right? After all I did to her, to us. How could I expect anything else? Um, Shane? Can I ask you something without you breaking her confidence and trust?"

"Okay, if I can answer I will."

"Does she ever talk about me? I mean in a nice way?"

Shane looked at Tina and saw the desperation in her eyes. She knew she couldn’t give her the answer she wanted.

"Apparently when she left Whistler, she shut all of it down. I’m sorry Tina, but she doesn’t talk about you much at all. It has all been about Angelica."

"Well I don’t know what I expected. Why would she? Um, well I guess we are done in here for now. I just have the bedroom to unpack, and that can wait for later. Care to stay for dinner?"

"Sure Tina, that would be good. I have missed your cooking."

"Shane?"

"Yeah?"

"Thanks. For being such a good friend to her. I know how much she needed that after everything that happened."

"Um, yeah, no problem."

When Kit came by an hour later with Angelica, she found Tina and Shane sitting in the back yard by the pool. Coming through the gate to the backyard, Kit called out to both of them.

"Hey girls. I got someone here who misses her Mom."

At the site of Tina, Angelica squealed her happiness out loud for all to hear. Laughing, Tina took the happy girl into her arms and hugged and kissed her.

"Hey sweetie, how are you? I missed you. Did you have a good day with your Mama?"

At the mention of her Mama, Angelica let out another loud squeal of delight.

"That girl sure knows who loves her best doesn’t she? Her mothers!" Laughed Kit.

"I think her aunties come in a very close second though." Tina and Shane laughed as well.

"Kit thank you, and Angus, for looking after her last night. I got a lot done. And I want to apologize for getting all pushy last night about picking her up instead of you dropping her off. I just needed for Bette to know about me buying this place first. For once I mean, she got to be first to know."

"Hey girl, no big deal. I understand. I thought you were just a little stressed about the move. That was until Bette told me today about you buying this place."

Kit gave Tina a look, hoping she would explain her side of things in her words. Tina quickly avoided that when she saw Angelica yawn and excused herself to go get her ready for bed.

"Damn, she can avoid things almost as well as Bette can."

"Well, they were together for a long time, some things would rub off I suppose." chuckled Shane.
