    It’s looking like some sunshine on the horizon.

     

    Tina looked at Bette in surprise. She really has changed she thought.

     

    "You sound like your learning a lot in your sessions. Are you finding that they are still helping you?"

    "More every time T. It’s amazing how much I am learning. About myself, and others. How….freeing I find it. My only regret…..is that I never did this years ago. That I couldn’t become the person I am becoming sooner. Someone I can actually like instead of loathe."

     

    "Not that it’s worth much Bette, but I have always thought you were pretty amazing. I liked you. I liked you a lot. I still do, very much."

     

    "Thank you Tina. It’s very affirming to me to hear that from you."

     

    Tina smiled at Bette.

     

    "So, um, Angelica is in the back, sleeping in Kit’s office. You can take her from here if you want instead of getting someone to pick to her up at the house."

     

    Bette looked back at Tina and smiled. "Why don’t we go the beach today? The three of us. That is if you aren’t busy or anything."

     

     

    Tina was shocked.

    "Um, okay, that sounds nice. Um, why don’t I meet you there. I can stop by home and get her bathing suit, and a change of clothes."

     

    "Why don’t we meet at the house, and go in one car? It’s no trouble to wait until you are ready. As a matter of fact, I’ll get us a take out lunch or something from here, and we can make a picnic of it. How does that sound?"

     

    Tina was looking at Bette with her mouth hanging open, and hoped she caught herself in time, so Bette wouldn’t notice the shock.

    "Great. That sounds really great."

     

    "Okay then" Bette said as she rose from the table. "Why don’t you head home and get your stuff, and I’ll get our lunch and our beautiful little sleeping beauty and meet you at home okay?"

    Bette hadn’t noticed the slip of wording. Tina did.

    "That sounds like the best thing I have heard in a very long time. I’ll see you there in a few."

     

    Bette watched Tina walk away from the table towards the door to the street. She watched her like she used to watch her. With longing and a hint of arousal. That Bette did notice.

     

    Hmm, she thought to herself. Today could be a very good day, a very good day indeed. She smiled to herself as she walked towards Kit’s office to get Angelica for their Family day at the beach.

Oh wow I am overwhelmed by the praise…let me say this publicly…I recall when I was a newbie and very unsure about my ability to express myself…many of you, if not all of you, came out to support my fledgling efforts and one of you even told me when my writing had improved…my memory is not that brilliant so I won’t name names here. This update is great, I’m seeing some hope in the relationship and some gentle love…bring it on…when you can post and my humble thanks.

    6. Great update. Good to see Bette facing and realizing she’s only human. Family day at the beach seems like a great step forward to me, especially if Tina and Bette are wearing bikinis.
