Five minutes later they pull to up to the guard gate at Broad Beach, Malibu.  Tina is waved right in without stopping.  Bette gives Tina a quizzical look.  Tina does not explain. She surmises this will add to the mystery of the day for Bette.  Tina turns left at the stop sign, and follows the road down to the beach.  She makes a left turn on Broad Beach Rd.  It’s the first house on the right on the beach.  As they pull up to the driveway gate, all Bette can say is ‘WOW!’  It’s the quintessential California Beach House. This house was featured in Architectural Digest a few years ago, when they were featuring the ‘best of’ and ‘unique beach home’ designs.” Bette asks, “Tina this must have cost you a pretty penny to rent for the weekend? Tina replies. “Don’t worry Babe you’ve got yourself a Daddy now!  Bette and Tina laugh.  Bette continues. “But Baby this is so extravagant.  I’m going to split the cost with you and I don’t want to hear another word about it!  I can’t let you spend this kind of money on me.”  Tina replies.  “Nothing will do but the best for you Babe.  I told you what you mean to me.  This is my present to you honey!  Bette is now beyond words.  She cannot speak as she’s choking back the tears of happiness. Bette continues, “ Tina after everything I’ve put you through and you still want to do this for me?   No one has ever done anything so special, just for me.”

Tina presses the clicker and the massive gate slides opens.  Then she clicks again and one of the three garage doors opens.  Tina pulls right in.  Bette’s thinking, ‘Tina feels very comfortable with the clicker.  She knows which button to push.  Gosh, I wonder if she comes here often?’  Tina surprises Bette and goes around to her side of the car and opens the door for her.  Bette says, “Sweetie, I was just going to come and open the door for you.”  Tina responds quickly, “Bette I told you this is YOUR night.  I do EVERYTHING for you!”  As Tina takes Bette’s hand to help her out of the car, Bette grabs Tina and hugs her.  Bette’s not going to let her go until she can compose herself.  Tina understands and waits patiently for Bette to release her.  Tina is thinking to herself, ‘I didn’t realize how emotional Bette can be.  With me crying and blushing all the time, and Bette being so emotional we’re really quite a pair!’
