    “someday your going to meet someone that’s gonna turn your world upside down and you’re going to discover that you actually do have emotions.”

     

    Matt:  “Word em up?”

     

    Tina:  “Hey”

     

    Matt:  “What’s up?”

     

    Tina:  “Nothing.  Are you at work?”

     

    Matt:  “You know it.  Come down and visit, Jeff would love to see you.”

     

    Tina:  “Im hoping so”

     

    Matt:  “What’d ya mean?”

     

    Tina:  “Has he found anyone to replace me yet?”

     

    Matt:  “No why, you wanna come back?”

     

    Tina:  “I might have to.”

     

    Matt:  “Well come down, I’ll tell him your stopping by”

     

    Tina:  “OK.  I’ll be there in a few.”

     

    Tina slipped her feet into her flip flops and headed out the door.  A relatively short twenty minutes later Tina turned onto Sunset Blvd. and luckily found a spot across from Lazy Dog Surf Shop.

     

    Tina stepped out of her car and saw Matt standing across the street talking to a blonde girl she had never seen before.   She shifted her sun glasses and darted across the street before thirty cars could appear out of nowhere and block her path. 

     

    Tina:  “Hey” she said stepping onto the curb.

     

    Matt:  “Hey, that was quick.”

     

    Tina:  “Like a cat”

     

    Matt:  “This is Alice, the girl I told you about.”

     

    Tina:  “Oh, hey.  Nice to meet you.” she extended her hand to Alice.

     

    Alice smiled and returned the gesture.  She recognized Tina from the plant the other day when she first saw Matt.  She also remembered Bette’s comment and the little twinkle in her eyes when she looked at the baby faced blonde.  Alice, claiming to have the best gaydar this side of the Mississippi quickly evaluated her subject.  She couldn’t be positive but her spidey sense told her that Tina was leaning towards straight.  The good news was if Tina were straight, Bette couldn’t sleep with her and never call her again, thus, Alice wouldn’t have to worry about Bette’s antics ruining her situation with her hot boy.

     

    Matt:  “So what are you doing tonight?”

     

    Tina:  “I don’t know, why?”

     

    Alice:  “You should come out with us.”

     

    Alice thought it might be funny to not share her research with Bette and let her hit on a girl she would never get.  Just to bring her down a peg or so.

    24. Ok so it is months since you began this but I thought I’d still add my comments. I am just echoing the other adoring fans who have thoroughly enjoyed your beginning and want it to continue. You write well and have set an interesting scene for it all to stem from. Please consider continuing this at some point. We will all be here waiting to read it!! Thanks for what you have started.
