    “That is seriously the most beautiful woman i’ve ever seen”

    Chapter One

     

                The morning sun crept through the window shade and slowly began to illuminate the dim bedroom.  Bette reluctantly opened her tired eyes and stared at the ceiling until her vision came into focus.  She blinked slowly as the events of the night prior started to replay in her mind.  Another girl, another bed.  Waking up next to a different girl every other day wasnt unusual for Bette Porter, she was never relationship material.  Bette was led to believe at a young age that wealth, education and social status were much more important. 

     

    She was trying to figure out a way to slip out of her latest conquests bed when her phone began to vibrate on the floor next to her.

     

    Bette, with a slight hit of panic, quickly reached for the pile of clothes next  to the bed and retrieved her cell phone from the pocket of her jeans. 

     

    Bette:  Hello? she whispered as she glanced back to make sure the stranger was still sleeping.

     

    Alice:  Seriously Bette?

     

    Bette:  What?

     

    Alice:  Your trying to sneak out of someones bed again arent you?

     

    Bette:  Maybe she smiled to herself

     

    Bette quietly started to get dressed as she balanced the phone between her ear and  her shoulder.

     

    Alice:  Well hurry up, you were supposed to meet me at the planet like a half hour ago.

     

    Bette:  I know, I know.  Im sorry, Ill be there in ten minutes.

     

    Bette hung up the phone and finished getting dressed.  She looked around one more time to make sure she didnt leave anything behind and within seconds she was out the door and into her car.

     

    Meanwhile across town

     

    Tina wiped the sweat from her forehead as she fiddled with the lock to her apartment.  She opened the door and stepped into the cool air conditioning that had been keeping her apartment comfortable while she was at her yoga class. 

     

    She walked inside and threw her yoga mat on the couch then locked the door behind her. 

     

    Tina loved her apartment; she had worked hard for it.  Jeff and Ellen Kennard initially thought it was best for their daughter to stay in the dorms until she graduated but finally gave in when Tina showed she could maintain her excellent grades while gaining an internship at Alphaville Productions.
