    Beth:  Maybe you should try telling that to your parents.

     

    ~~Maybe I should try to put a cigarette out in my eye while im at it.  Talking to my parents about this is almost as fun as talking to them about politics. I can try~~

     

    Beth:  Right.  Tina, if your going to get anywhere you have to start talking to other people about your feelings and not just me.

     

    ~~ But it never ends in confrontation with you. I like avoiding problems when its possibleI guess that could be my first problem~~

     

    Beth:  And have you talked to David about his smothering?

     

    ~~ No. I know she told me to talk to him last week but Ive been too busy, plus I really dont want to hurt his feelings.~~

     

    Beth:  Want to know what I think.

     

    ~~ Well I possibly cant help myself right now so yes.  What do you think?~~

     

    Beth:  I think its a jealously issue.

     

    ~~ Ha Ha. Right. Who is he jealous of, I only spend time with him~~

     

    Beth:  Hes jealous of Matt.  You have a male best friend.  A best friend that you used to take baths with when you were toddlers, he knows everything about you.  You just need to reassure David that hes the boyfriend and Matt is just the friend. She looked over at the clock.  We have to stop now.  I have to go to class.

     

    Tina stretched her arms out over her head and sat up.

     

    Tina:  I promise Ill talk to him.

     

    Beth:  Good, and talk to your parents, let them know that your going to disagree about certain issues but it doesnt mean your doing it to rebel against them.  Your film project isnt a dig at their beliefs. She smiled Wanna walk with me to class?

     

    Tina:  Sure

     

    Beth gathered up her books and they headed down the stairs.  Tina looked at her cell phone and saw that she had a voice mail.  She pressed the call button and waited for the message.  Beth could hear an angry voice blaring through the receiver and looked at Tina inquisitively.  Tina laughed and hung up the phone.
