Dana pulled away abruptly, half tempted to slap Alice across the face but knowing that it was unjustified, after all it was she who initiated the kiss and what a fucking kiss it was. Instead she settled for a soft shove that caused the blonde to laugh back and herself to adorn a grin of bemusement at the current situation. She grabbed a hold of Alice’s wrist and led her down the hallway towards the sitting room she had set up, confident that Alice was not here for any diabolical purpose than perhaps to cause some vex and excitement.

‘Are we taking this to the bedroom?’ the blonde asked inquisitively and with a slight arch of the eyebrow again. Dana turned around to meet her devilish expression.

‘No, I have work to do, but you can stay put whilst I figure it out’. Although the words tumbled out of her mouth, Dana’s body was betraying her, the bedroom was the only room she wanted to visit right now and the vision of Alice’s head between her legs was really not helping her current anguish.

‘I’m guessing you’re in some form of trouble again Miss Fairbanks, judging by these cameras and what I assume are laser security systems.’ Dana stopped in her tracks, inches away from the lounge door, and turned around.

‘You are quite the perceptive one, I presume it comes with the job title?’ Although now was not the time to be getting into their usual petty mind games and banter that usually erupted whenever the couple came within three feet of one another, Dana couldn’t help but feel that she had missed it.

‘Well I have to remain on my toes and expect the unexpected when I’m investigating such things as the dark criminal underworld of LA,’ the blonde retorted with a slight whimsical tone in her voice. 

‘Just keep that mouth shut, you remember the trouble you caused me last time, you’re the reason I’m in this mess.’ Dana replied with an exasperated tone. Something in her eyes however made Alice believe she wasn’t actually that annoyed, if she knew Dana, and she believed she did, then the brunette welcomed the exhilaration with arms wide open.
