                   Dana awoke to a familiar bed, for a second she thought that the bed belonged to Alice, but realized that it was not. It did not smell like Alice, feel like her, nothing. She rolled over and the blinding light made her shut her eyes quickly. She felt like *****, she did not think that she would be able to face the day; knowing that Alice would not be there.

     

                Lara was making breakfast when Dana walked in. Dana gave her a polite, sad smile, before sitting down.

                Here drink this, its coffee. Lara said handing Dana a cup of coffee.

                Dana please, you are my friend, this is what friends do. Lara said taking Danas hand in hers, I know you would do the same for me.

                Thanks was all Dana could say. She did not know what to say to Lara, she had done so much for her. I think I am going to go run, I really need to. I think then I am going to go home.

                You can stay here if you want. Lara did not want Dana to be alone right now.

                No, no I just really need to go home, you know? Dana said gathering her things.

                Yes, I know. I will check on you later. Lara said giving Dana a comforting hug.

                Okay. Dana said walking out to her car.

                   Alice walked back into her living room, seeing that it was tidy. All the bottles of alcohol were cleaned up, along with the tissues. But the picture of Dana still sat on the table next to the couch.

                Shane did not know what to do with her self, waiting for Alice to get done. So she decided to clean up. But she had no idea what to do with the picture of Dana. She remembered that picture. It was a day that the gang had gone to the beach. It was before any drama had happened.

                 Alice leaned over to Shane and whispered into her ear. Alices eyes were still on Dana, She looks really beautiful today. Shane just thought that Alice had maybe a little to much drink that day, plus sun.

    2. Just read all of your posts, and i really like this story!! I dont know how I missed it…anyway…you are a great writer! I loved your describtion in the last chapter about being in love with your best friend and how much it kills you to see them being hurt. You really captured what it feels like. I hope you post soon!
