Just The Girl – Chapter Twenty Eight (a HYD-inspired fic)
Tina smiled inwardly as she saw the effect she had on Bette. She caught sight of the way the brunette hungrily swept over her entire body with her eyes. She had to laugh at the fact that she did the same with the heiress when the brunette was preoccupied with checking her out. Looking every part like the birthday girl, Tina nodded her head in approval as she took in the way the brunette glowed this evening. The normally wavy hair was tamed a bit down and rested on sexy toned shoulders. Her ivory white empire waist dress hung on to every curve quite nicely, exposing a decent amount of skin and cleavage. It was Tina’s turn to gulp as she suddenly felt her face getting hot. “I’m sorry I’m late..” She choked out as she closed the distance between the two of them. “Happy birthday Porter.” She smiled as she leaned in and kissed Bette on the cheek.
Bette closed her eyes as she savored the sweet and slightly lingering kiss that she received. She finally allowed herself to smile as the blonde pulled back. “You’re forgiven.” She whispered breathlessly as her eyes danced around with glee. They stared at one another in comfortable silence for a few more moments before the sound of someone clearing their throat brought them back to reality.
“Happy birthday!” Jenny smiled, eyeing the two in amusement. Bette merely nodded in response as her eyes remained glued to Tina. “Here you go.” Jenny shook her head and laughed as she handed the brunette her present. It took Bette a few seconds before it even registered inside her brain that the small girl was handing her something.
“Oh.” Bette raised her eyebrows as she took the gift from Jenny’s hand. “Thank you.” She smiled warmly at Tina’s best friend. James, who was observing the interaction from a few feet away, walked up to the girls and gingerly took the present from Bette.
“I’ll take this to the table with all the other presents.” James smiled, regarding the elegantly wrapped gift in his hands. “Umm..” He looked up and pointed to the small box that Tina was holding. “Do you want me to take that too?” He smiled. Tina’s eyes suddenly grew big.

I love your story! I love how Bette told Melvin that “Tina was the most important person in her life” and in front of everyone it was so sweet. I can’t wait for another chapter! PPS!
I am really enjoying this story. I like howyou have made Bette’s character grow.Of course, it’s always enjoyable seeing Melvin get put in his place. I wonder what other present Tina has in store for Bette? Will she really be staying over at Jenny’s tonight???? pps
My goodness…Bette jumped into the frying pan with both feet. She shared her feelings with Tina as well as her friends and stood up to her father in public. Can’t wait for more!!!!
That was awesome Bette, you go girl. Now let see B&T have fun on the party. Please post more, thanks!
I am so lovin’ every moment of this story. I admire Bette’s courage to take her Father down a peg by claiming her love for Tina publicly.
Very cool Porter-I am glad that she stood up to her father. I love how Tina’s father wanted her to wear a trenchcoat over her dress-I could almost picture it. Very funny. Great job!!!
