Kit‘s eyes were wide as she watched Alex Pezinni walk into the back of The Planet, wearing an old battered leather jacket, her hair falling into her eyes as she walked with a purpose. Her hands in her pockets avoiding human contact if she could it wasn’t always easy but she managed to do it more often than none. She spotted Ivan first and went up to him, smiling and seeming to talk to him easily.

            Alex did have that quality to her, putting people at ease, Kit finally got up the nerve to go over and talk to the Detective. Alex saw her coming, and a small smile came to her lips. Just the woman she’d wanted to speak with, Alex‘s eyes seemed to flash and Kit smiled at the Detective.

            “I heard you were up and about, but I sure as hell wasn’t thinking I’d find you here tonight.” Kit said, her voice giving way to her true emotions.

            “I came to talk to you is there somewhere we can talk, in private?” Alex asked and Kit nodded motioning for her to follow.  Ivan said his good bye’s and kissed Kit on the cheek. Kit led her to her small office and Alex closed the door behind her. Kit sat and Alex did the same, rubbing her hands on the black jeans she was wearing. Kit could tell she was thinking.

            “You’re here to talk about Bette, ain’t ya?” Kit asked and Alex nodded, she needed to know what had really gone on that night in that bedroom of terror. She was still on that surreal fog, it cluttered and hid in her mind all the memories, and Alex didn’t like it one bit.

            “Well darling, I can’t tell you nothing. ‘Cept for this she hasn’t spoken a worthwhile word since they flew her back here. She’s been quiet and silent. Fucking scary if you ask me, cuz if there was one thing that Bette was not, was silent.” Kit stated, opening the drawer of her desk and pulling up a Reese‘s Cup.

            “She also wasn’t submissive before all of this happened either.” Alex said in a soft voice, a voice that anyone rarely heard. Kit‘s face dropped at what Alex had just said.

            “Excuse me?” Kit blurted out a bit more loudly than she’d intended too, and Alex bit her lip, she took a long breath and said, the soft tone of voice still evident.

            “Relax, this is a long story it’s my story and if I’m right, its Bette‘s as well.”
