    Chapter 43 – Are you going to show me your bedroom?

    Chapter 43

     

    “What?”

     

    “The land…, it’s an area just off the public park and the church is right in the centre of the boundary…,. Lily owned the church.”

     

    “She owned it?”

     

    “Yeah…”

     

    “No, there must be some mistake…”

     

    “It’s right…”

     

    “But is this site you used accurate? Are the references right? How can we be sure?” Bette said as her mind travelled over the possibilities.

     

    “Bette, I checked and double checked…”

     

    “Are you sure?” Bette said quietly with elements of incredulity.

     

    Tina smiled at a side of Bette Porter she had yet to meet, one filled with disbelief.  “I’m sure, it seems that she really does own that piece of land that the church sits on…”

     

    “But…, that deed had a date on it from years ago…”

     

    “I guess she must have bought it a long time ago babe.”

     

    Bette turned in Tina’s arms, “you know, I always knew that place was significant to both Lily and my mother…, but this…, this with Lily actually owning it…, it almost puts a whole new light on them and their relationship…”

     

    “What do you mean?”

     

    “Well, it makes it more…, uh…, special and almost sacred…, I know that sounds pretty dramatic, but they had this place…, I presume that Lily had this place when my mother was alive?”

     

    Tina had already been blown away as her mind processed the information, but she could only imagine how Bette was feeling, how she was reacting and how the news was affecting her, at the moment, Bette seemed completely stunned.

     

    “It’s so romantic…” Tina whispered with a smile.  Her chest felt warm as the magnitude of Lily’s grand gesture was becoming understandable.

     

    “Do you think she bought it when they met?” Bette asked as her mind wandered with the possibilities.

     

    “Or maybe she bought it for your mother…”

     

    “Do you think T…, she was such a romantic…”

     

    “I think this is the most amazing thing Bette…, it’s like something you read in the old romantic novels…, this place meant something to them, and she bought it, or maybe they bought it…, they wanted it to be theirs forever…”

Thanks for posting Ms.Jo and I’m so happy to know that I was not the only one that was P0’ed by all the interruptions and the lightin that ws right in the eye of the camera during their dance, it was just awful. It seemed deliberate to me. After all they are the stars of the show. And IC showed all of jodi’s dance as well as all of jenny, the two no one wanted to see. Rant over. When I went to youtube to look for your video it said that the video was no longer available, will try again. Loved the update.

    10. Dearest sweet Jo, this was an amazing update. It is good to see that Bette is opening herself to Tina and that both are bonding with each other even further. It is very symbolic that Tina will make Bette think of her house as a home. New memories are needed, so Bette might overcome her pain of losing Lilly. Thanks for sharing such a lovely story with us.     12. Yeah, I was pretty ticked about the dance sequence. ic seemed to have shown a lot of disrespect for Jennifer, Laurel and the rest of the gang not to mention the fans. At least in your story we have a couple that is deeply in love with each other.

    17. Love, love, love this story. Anything you write Jobadge is brilliant, but this story is so sweet & tender, it jus melts my heart. I was also annoyed by all the interruptions & the lighting during B & T’s dance number. The video tibetter2008 made is AWESOME & so much better than Ep 7’s version! PS.
