    Bette, Tina, Dana, Alice, Shane, Carmen, Helena, Dylan, Kit, Angus, Peggy, and Marilyn discover what John Lennon said in the song, “Beautiful Boy” is absolutely true: “Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans.”

    Helena didn’t remember seeing Dylan put that on this morning. Oh, yes, she thought.  Dylan dressed in the bathroom after her shower.  She sighed and wished Dylan would hurry, but then she wanted her to take her time, to give her this show, be on display only for her eyes.  Dylan reached her hands behind her and when she did, her breasts pushed forward, more invitingly, tempting Helena’s needy mouth.  Dylan pushed the fasteners together, releasing the back strap that loosened the shoulder straps.  Helena loved that smile.  It was one she couldn’t describe, but it was always the one Dylan bestowed on Helena when she was feeling frisky and magically and magnetically drawn to her.  For Helena, that smile both melted her and caused her heart to pause; it was the smile of things to come.

    The bra came off, falling down the front of her body.  Helena’s eyes focused on two spots—those two luscious, lovely, delectable breasts; nipples so erect and such a representation of Dylan’s most visceral, primal need.

    Dylan inched closer to the bed, standing against the side of it.  “Take off my thong.”

    Helena hastily slid across the bed, planted her feet on the floor with Dylan’s body between her legs.  She looked up at her lovingly, stared at her face, fell into at that smile, got lost in those smoldering burnt umber-colored eyes, and gazed at lips that glistened in the early afternoon light.  Deftly, fingers curled around the thin waistband of the black thong.  Just as slowly as Dylan had undressed, Helena removed the final piece of clothing.  Dylan stepped out of the thong while Helena moved toward the center of the bed.  Dylan followed; her eyes alive with a plan to take Helena. 

    Dylan crawled across the bed with Helena moving up the bed until her head was near the pillow.  She rose up and kissed Dylan, bringing her down to stretch out on top of her. 

    “Mmm,” Dylan said.

    Their breasts were flattened by the others pressing against them.  Their kisses were maddening for both women.  Dylan moved down to kiss Helena’s neck.  She sucked on the creamy flesh, biting down on it which made Helena groan into Dylan’s hair.  “Aah,  Aah.”  Helena breathed out so slowly.  “Oh-ohhh.”

That for me is remarkable. Jenny’s death in season 5 and her magazine being thrown in the pool – what can I say, your attention to detail is a gold standard in fanfic. Kudos to you and also Wendy for creating this wonderful story.

    13. I read this chapter as slowly as I could so that I could savor every word of it. It was worth me taking the time, although I was fully aware that each time I clicked “Next page” I was that much closer to the finish. This was a fantastic end to such a richly layered story. Everyone got their ending, and each and every one of them earned it… the struggles each couple/family had to overcome to get to their happiness made it all the more believable. You didn’t cheat, Portia, not the readers, not the story. This has been such an absolute treat to read, through all the highs and lows, and I’ve loved every single word of it. (And kudos for not forgetting Jenny this chapter! heh) Thank you, Portia, for writing this story and taking us on the journey with you. Take care, and I hope we see another story from you soon.

    18. well after about a month and a half im finally finish with your story and as I wrote you before I truly believe you are a gift to writing and taking readers along for the experience. I had to stop several times for work or sleep but it was well worth the time. I prolonged finishing the last chapter didn’t want t see it end, but like the L word, like tibette chemistry, all good things but come to end….Bravo!! my friend I hope to see a book with your name on it forreal..til next story………

You did an absolutely remarkable job with this. The story telling, the storyline, the interweaving of the characters, seasons, cannon and AU was beyond incredible.
