“(taking Tina’s hand)Yes, I totally understand. Listen, I know this can be scaring, but you must know that I really am interested in dating you, get to know you better. You have captivated me and tonight was one of the best nights in my life. (now Bette was rubbing the back of Tina’s hand with her thumbs)Look, Tina, I don’t want and I won’t pressure you. (in a soft whisper)”Thank you”

“(standing up)Well, I guess I should get going”

“Oh..OK.. I will walk you to the door”

Tina opened the door for Bette and as Bette walked out, it happened, she knew she had to do it. She turned to face Tina, lifted her right hand which landed on Tina’s left cheek and caressed it gently with her thumb, she came closer and it happened. Although she said no pressure, Bette felt she had to do it, it was an urgent need to kiss her.. she leaned the mere inches that separated Bette’s face from Tina’s and Joined Tina’s lips in a soft and tender kiss that made Tinas knees weaken. Tina had stood frozen in her feet when Bette came closer to kiss her, and what she felt made her knees weaken, a sudden explosion inside of her, and when she reached out her hand to take Bette’s cheek in her hand and was about to respond to the kiss, Bette pulled away(such a tease!) and whispered in her ear: ‘I’ll be waiting for your call’ With that, she left without turning to see Tina one more time. Tina  stood frozen still as she heard Bette speeding off.

“What the fuck am I goign to do now?” She said to herself as she touched her lips.
