    Author Notes:

    Dane waits for Shane – Cass and Tina set down the Rules for Daisy and Ro – Quin has a showdown with her mother – Bette is rocked by the turn in her life –

     

                “She’s good, the prognosis is good
    too.  She’ll see fine out of the left
    eye, but she’ll have a bit of a problem with the right.  The blood flow is restricted in the eye
    muscles of the right, so dilation is a problem. It might resolve its self….”

     

                “What are you doing here?”  Dana blurted out, and then she clamped her own hand on her
    mouth.      Sam leaned on the railing and laughed.  She’d been sure that Dana would have reacted this way, Shane had just chuckled in the OR and told Sam that she was a romantic.

     

                “I flew down to make sure it went
    well.  I have a vested interest you
    know.”      Sam quipped, messing up her short blonde
    hair.

     

                “What?”  Dana asked, not understanding what she was talking
    about.  Vested
    interest in     Shane? 
    She was going to have a fight on her hands if she thought she was
    getting her ER doctor paws on her woman.

     

                “I set you up on your first *****
    fest in OZ…  I wanna make sure it keeps
    going…”      Sam winked and Dana blushed, Sam just turned as the doors opened and Dana stepped out onto the well-lit ward.

     

                “She’ll be in bandages for at least
    3 weeks.  We won’t know if she can see or
    not, but the blockage was removed.  There
    is no telling if it will come back, but it looks good     Dana.” 
    Sam said, pointing her to the door and a
    sleeping     Shane. 

     

                Shane looked rather angelic as she
    slept, her hand curled under her chin, the other one draped over her flat
    stomach with an IV taped to the back of her hand.

     

                “Thank you.”  Dana said, not sure if there was anything else to say
    other than that, she walked into the room and sat with     Shane, holding her and finally feeling better
    about everything.  It was all going to be
    ok, she turned to say something to     Sam, but she was gone.

                “There are rules….”  Cassandra threatened and Daisy rolled her
    eyes and     Tina gave her a steely look.  They were sitting at the kitchen table;
    Rosita was leaning back in her chair, slumping to the left.  Daisy was doing the same, but her arms were
    crossed.      Cass and Tina were on the other side of the table staring at the
    new couple.

    2. If Shane has sex 10,000 times,Once a night for 365 days That is about 26 yrs. of none stop sex. Good girl if you can do it. Cass and Tina really is going to have her hands full,not only with Daisey but Peggy. Alice will not give the any trouble. Love Peggy,but money talks and bullshit walks. and Daisey is b/s not money.. thanks

    4. Thank god, some good news for Shane. I liked Dana’s reactions towards Sam, those were funny. Poor Bette, but I guess she could pull it off to have her own galary and I’m sure Candace can help her with that. I’m very happy Alice decided to tell Daisy (even if she already knows) and Cass & Tina. It’s a very good thing. Ahh Peggy, you just gotta love her!
