"No I think I can handle it. I’ll let you know if I need you. Hey Aunt Kit when are you going to make Angus my uncle?" Jess asked.

"When I feel like it." Kit said pulling Angus with her.

"Miss. Porter." The guy said.

"Yeah and you are?" Jess asked.

"Frank Gill." He said shaking Jess’s hand.

"Susan Halloway." She said shaking Jess’s hand.

"Please sit." Jess said.

"It’s a pleasure to meet you we must say. The person who opened the minds of America." He said.

"I don’t think I did that." Jess said.

"Well that’s not what the polls are saying." Susan said.

"Why don’t you just get to point?" Jess said.

"Okay then. We want to do an article on you and your family." Frank said.

"I don’t think they are going to go for that." Jess said taking a sip of her smoothie.

"Just hear us out please." Susan said.

"I guess." Jess said sitting back in her chair.

"We want to put you on the cover and then interview you and your family. It won’t be anything that you don’t approve." Susan said.

Cat walked up behind Jess.

"Hey babe. What’s going on?" She asked and kissed Jess.

"I was just listening to a pitch from these people from the advocate." Jess said.

Cat sat down next to her.

"We want to involve you too. You must be Cat." Susan said.

"I am, and you are." Cat asked.

The two introduced themselves again and finished their pitch. Jess told them that she would think about it and discuss it with everyone and that they should contact Marty in about a week. They left feeling good about everything.

"So what are you going to do?" Cat asked after they left.

"What do you think I should do?" Jess asked.

"I don’t know. The advocate is a big deal and you could help people." Cat said.

"And how am I going to do that?" Jess asked.

"By showing the world that children raised by lesbians and gays are just as normal as everyone else." Cat said.

"I don’t…." Jess said.

"I know you don’t want to be a poster child, but just think about it okay." Cat said.

"If I do it will you do it with me?" Jess asked.

"If you want me to." Cat said.

"Hey girls. So what have you decided?" Alice asked.

"I haven’t decided anything." Jess said.

"Well we all voted and we think you should do it." Alice said. Jess finished packing her bag.

"Well I hate to burst your bubble but its not up to you." Jess said. Alice sat there in shock.

"Jess." Cat said.

"I’m going are you coming?" Jess asked.

"Not until you apologize." Cat said.

"Sorry. Al. I am just tired of all of this." Jess said.

"Our opinion doesn’t count any more." Alice said.

"It does but think about it for awhile. You know me." Jess said.

"Yeah honey I do. It’s okay. I understand." Alice said.

"Thanks Al." Jess said standing.

"You welcome and when you want my opinion you know where to find me." Alice said.

"You’re the best." Jess said and kissed her on the cheek. Jess and Cat walked out together after saying good bye to Alice.

"What’s that all about?" Lilly asked walking up to Alice.

"She’s under a lot of pressure right now." Alice said watching them walk out the Planet.

"How do you know? You haven’t been around her longer than five minutes since she came back from New York." Lilly said.

"I tell by looking at her. She is just like Bette." She said.

"So where are we going?" Cat asked getting into Jess’s car.

"Let’s spend the weekend at the beach house. We can do some surfing and just hang out." Jess said.

"And you can talk to Shannon." Cat said. Jess smiled at her.

"Thank you." Jess said. She leaned over and kissed Cat.

"You keep that up and…." Cat said.

"I hope so." Jess interrupted.
