“Jess I need you to bring down your dirty clothes.” Bette called.

“Just a minute.” Jess yelled back.

“No not in a minute now.” Bette called. She had Teddy in her arms she walked into the dining room and put him in the swing, and then back to the bottom of the stairs.

“Jess!” She yelled.

“What?” Jess called.

“Please babe I need your clothes.” Bette called.

“Okay hold on” Jess said. She was playing the Nintendo.

“Jess I am going to count to ten and I better see you coming down the stairs with your dirty clothes or you are going to lose the Nintendo for a week.” Bette said.

“Gezz I am coming.” Jess said to herself.

“1..2…3…4…5..6.7…8..” Bette said. Jess started down the stairs with a bag full of dirty clothes.

“Here.” Jess said with attitude, and started back upstairs.

“Excuse me.” Bette said. “Come back.” Jess rolled her eyes and came back down stairs.

“What?” Jess asked.

“You know what. Ever since you came back from Camp you have had an attitude.” Bette said.

“No I haven’t” Jess argued back. Bette looked at her.

“I think you need an attitude adjustment.” Bette said.

“But I didn’t do anything!” Jess argued back.

“Okay if you want to argue you can have an hour instead of 30 minutes.

“But!” Jess said.

“You want to make it an hour an half.” Bette said.

“NO!” Jess said and walked to an empty corner and sat down. She put he knees to her chest and put her head down.

Bette checked on the boys swinging in their chairs, and started the laundry.

30 minutes later Tina walked in. Teddy was in the swing and Bette was holding Ian. She was sitting at the table looking at pictures of the art work she was getting ready to show in the gallery. Jess was still in the corner.

“Hey Babe. I am so sorry I had to go in on Saturday but it couldn’t wait.” Tina said kissing Bette.
