Life with Mom and Tina Ch 9
Previously:
“We should get the girls together for a pre-practice play date this weekend.” Belle said.
“Yeah absolutely.” Tina said. Jess walked up with Kelly. “Here is my number call me and we will work everything out.” Tina handed her a business card with her cell on the back.
“Okay great.” Belle said “I’ll call you tomorrow.”
“Okay I talk to you later.” Belle and Carter left with Kelly.
“Hey Kel, wait up.” Jess yelled jumping out of Tina’s car. Kelly stopped when she heard Jess. The girls were dressed in all red and black. Their jerseys were red with a black raven on the front and their last names and numbers on the black. Jess was 13 and Kelly was 9. Both girls had their in French braid pigtails.
“Hey Jess.” Kelly waved as Jess ran up to her.
“Hey Ms. Carter.” Jess said.
“Hello Jess. Are you ready for your first game?” Carter asked. Tina and Bette walked up to them.
“Yep.” Jess said.
“Come on girls.” Stacy called from the door way. The girls left Carter, Bette, and Tina.
“We better go if we are gonna get the good seats.” Carter said.
“What do you mean the game doesn’t start for another 45 min.” Bette asked as they walked into the stadium.
“As you know there are two big programs here. Ours and the Wildcats. We always open the season with them and finish it with them. They are our rivals. Their program only goes up to age 12 but ours goes all the way through high school. The top team from each region goes on to play in the state tournament and the winner of that tournament goes to play in the little league world series. To get to the point it is always us or them who makes to the state tournament.” They sat down in the middle of the first base line. The stadium was half full of parents and family members. The seats behind the home dugout looked like a sea of red and black. The visitors were all decked out in green and blue.
“This is a lot more serious than I thought.” Bette looked in awe at the stadium. It was Tina who was picking Jess up from practice and going to the meetings.

Bette’s like me: totally lost when it comes to sports. LOL I was a band geek so I know about being competitive, but man I don’t think our “groupies” booed other bands.
Softball and baseball is a sport all by them self. My 16yrold G/D will be albe to go to any college she wants because ofsoftball. Normally they dont Boo, remember these are kids. thanks
Good chapter. I’m not good at softball but I like watching them. Ok post soon please, thanks!
Great ans sweet story, but a bit more B&T and less Jess if you ask me – good luck with the exams :o))
Sports has always been a good way to meet others and to make life long friends. As some people do they take it way to seriously, but it still can be fun. I was in band too but I was also into swimming and diving. I was never very good in band but it was fun, but swimming helps to relieve the stress and can allow one to disappear from life for awhile. Now, diving was just pure fun and scary at the same time. I hope that you will continue to develope this story.
