The front door opened – Tina looked up

Bette strolled in looking very good in jeans, a heavy gray sweater and a fleece jacket.
“I decided that nothing was on my desk that couldn’t wait – it is Thanksgiving after all “
“Bette – is everything ok ?”
“I told you – I’ve come home to see my family – hey dude “
At that moment the phone rang – Bette touched the speaker phone.
“Bette Porter “
“Hello darling ! “
“Helena “
“Hey Helena “ Tina and Alice said
“Hia – how’s November in England ? “”
“Great “
“Liar — its very hot here “
“Yeah — and that’s just in your bedroom “ Tina said
“Ruthie sends her love – anyway this is just a quick call – I’ll ring later to wish you all happy Thanksgiving – Just to tell you Tina that I have hired you an assistant “
“What ! “
“After being chewed out by Bette about what happened to you I realise you need some to help you. I have hired a young woman “
“HELENA ! “ Tina looked mighty pissed
“In fact I have just given her your address “
“YOU HAVE DONE WHAT “
Bette grinned at Alice
“It’ll be fine — she is on her way over now – don’t thank me “
“I WASN’T GOING TO “
“Got to go darlings – see you soon “
With that the line went dead – just as Tina was about to speak someone knocked at the door.
“Someone at the door babe – can you get it – I need a kiss from Danny”
“I’m peeling potatoes in case you hadn’t noticed “
Tina got up and slowly walked to the door. She flung it open to see the familiar figure of Shane standing on the doorstep. It was a heavily wrapped up Shane — but it was still Yodah herself

Ally, Gal you do know how to keep the love flowing. Great to see the kind and loving side of Bette appear when Tina told her about the realtor and her clumsy come-on. Alpha-Bette was still there and ready to tear the realtor’s head off but tempered by her concern for Tina and their unborn daughters. This meant that Bette was there to comfort Tina and demonstrate her love and admiration. The Thanksgiving surprise was wonderfully orchestrated. Tina’s response was awesome and well balanced by Shane’s quick delivery. Can’t wait for the games to begin. Bring it on and make this a Thanksgiving to remember.
